Argentina: In 2020 there are 165 Taxes

Currently in Argentina there is a tax system structured in 165 taxes, made up of taxes, fees and contributions, which represent 31.3% of GDP.

Taxes in Argentina are distributed in National Taxes with a total of 41, Provincial Taxes with 39 and the rest in the municipal area with a total of 85 rates.

Among the taxes that obtain the highest collection are the Value Added Tax (VAT) and the Income Tax. followed by one of the main provincial taxes such as the Gross Income Tax (IIB).

Also among the 165 ( Table 1) existing taxes are: Contributions and contributions to Social Security, PH Earnings, Corporate Earnings and the provincial tax on Gross Income.

The internal taxes established are a large number, such as: the tax on tobacco, alcoholic beverages, syrups, extracts and concentrates, insurance, luxury items, motor vehicles, ships and aircraft, electronic elements or parts and satellite telephony, among others.

Among the fees we find: patent law, office law, public entertainment law, fee for "inspection of weights and measures", fee for "control of trademarks and signs", for "urban capital gain", for inspection service veterinary, for street vending, driver registration, for use of the Bus Terminal, for animal control on public roads, sports tax, health tax.

However, one of the biggest concerns of taxpayers is the payment and solvency of taxes, due to to the fines and interests that the government applies to those who do not fulfill their commitments (Table 2).
