Donald Trump just created a meme coin on the Solana Network, which has gotten everyone talking. Melania announced her own coin shortly after it was created, adding fuel to the flames. As expected, meme coins skyrocketed in a matter of hours, and if you bought early, you most likely profited handsomely. I believe Melania will do the same in a few days.
I have never been a fan of meme coins. I believe that these garbage currencies are the polar opposite of everything that hardworking crypto projects strive for.
Every endeavor by Leofinance or the VSC project to bring real-world uses to cryptocurrency is quickly undone by the emergence of a shitcoin. It's almost like a factory reset button, except instead of refreshing, everyone simply returns to ape.
The cryptocurrency sector has long been considered as a joke, and while Donald Trump is the President of the United States, it is reasonable to conclude that he is not a "serious" person. It's remarkable that a country as strong as the United States couldn't find any intellectual intelligentsia, or at least someone who doesn't sound like a kindergarten, to serve as President. To be fair to Trump and his fans, the alternative was Kamala, so I do not blame them.
There is no need for more meme currencies on the cryptocurrency market. They serve no use, have no near or long-term promise, and have no fundamental worth other than as objects of pure conjecture.
Trump coins, like any other meme currency, are as meaningless as the ones that came before and after them. These worthless currencies will not disappear, and as long as they exist, crypto-related initiatives will remain trapped in the echo chamber.
I am still a bit concerned about the trump coin because I don't see it been sustained for long
