Looking like there is more going on under the hood than meets the eye!
By all accounts there hasn't been much going on with STEEM or Steemit.com over the last several months.
We have the diary game and the shopping game where @steemitblog has been rewarding participants with some nice upvotes over the last couple months.
The growth of those two initiatives has been nice, but overall the news since the HF hasn't been earth shattering.
Well, it looks like we may be getting some very nice earth shattering news in the not too distant future.
I stumbled upon the Steem wallets github the other day that showed there were developers working on something with those wallets just about every day:

While it isn't clear exactly what is going on, I think it's fair to assume it has something to do with the defi and justswap partnership @steemitblog announced last week.
In fact there is some pretty good evidence that is exactly what is going on there.
Adding to that, I stumbled upon this today:

Again, it's not entirely clear what is going on here but it looks like there is going to be some sort of integration of Tron and STEEM.
Perhaps getting Tron listed in the STEEM wallets and defi abilities for both.

There are some others that seem to think that the development going on will be more than just a tron and steem wallet integration.
There may be some sort of steemit.com port as well.

Since we haven't exactly been kept up to speed on exactly what is going on we are forced to speculate. Some or all of these speculations may be inaccurate.
But one thing is for sure, there is development going on with STEEM and steemit.com under the hood and we are likely going to see some big changes in the near future.
My guess is these changes will be very good for STEEM and possibly the price of STEEM as well.

I particularly read about some integration of Tron and steem and a sort of related topic but we cannot conclude just yet about what it is going to look like, we really need to wait and see what we indeed need to expect.

@jondoe, what are your thoughts on Steemit having made a 100% power down? and then sending the 28 million Steem to Binance?
Also today, the Steemit wallet is not accessible anymore. I hope they will not just dump the 28 million Steem on the market, that would sure suppress the Steem price for a long time.

Well a big chunk of that went to Binance and then to Poloniex. Considering that there is not enough liquidity to dump that on Poloniex my guess is that they are planning on using that STEEM for liquidity pools or something of that nature related to the defi project. I highly doubt it is being dumped on the open market. The price/volume hasn't reflected that either.

We will probably be able to trade between Steem/Steem Dollars (SBD) and Tron (TRX).
Maybe. Probably for Tron (TRX). Nowadays Tron (TRX) is around $0.02 USD, while Steem is around $0.24 USD.

So. Tron is worth $1.8 billion while STEEM is worth $89 million. It's a lot easier to push up a smaller market cap.

I am very excited to see if they are able to deliver Tron in our wallet and direct transfers similar to what we had with the Blocktrade exchange to the platforms Just and Just Swap.
I would really be excited if we can invest Steem directly on Just, but the price of Tron is so low, swapping Steem for Tron will make people feel like whales exchanging it and they will have less to lose experimenting with DeFi using cheap tokens.
It will be like DeFi with training wheels, but we may see the “Walmart Effect” the investment is so cheap many will buy it.

There are movements, it is evident, I don't know what the result will really be, I hope that in this year, that things have been so good for other altcoin, it will be the same for steem/tron.
We just have to wait, of course, and continue contributing to the growth, each one from where it is.
