Drones, much more than a flying object

Hello Project Hope community, for a long time we have been hearing about drones, almost anyone can buy them and use them. At first they were used as a tool for photographers, actually they worked very well, it allowed these professionals to have very good pictures from the heights without using a plane or a helicopter, of course, lowering costs.

Then they began to give them some more sophisticated uses in security matters, for example, since some criminals could be followed by these, who did not lose sight of them, and the security forces could reach the places where those who had committed some misdeed were hiding.

Also in times of pandemic were widely used, no doubt served as a vehicle for some companies that deliver orders through these, saving time and avoiding exposure of workers and those who ordered, this has been a breakthrough, at least for me it is.

All these uses are still a reality, it has been very beneficial for everyone. But I have seen that they are also being used for war purposes, as expected, obviously. A few days ago I saw a video in which Ukrainian troops were using drones to attack the Russian army, causing great damage to enemy troops. I am not taking one side or the other in this war.

The use they made of it was to place a bomb in a drone, which they released and flew over the enemy troops and by remote control they dropped the bombs on them. It is a use that has been given to the drones, which I have no idea if they were conceived for that purpose from the beginning, but it is happening.

I believe that these, as well as all the technology that is created, are very good tools, which allow the life of the human being to be facilitated, but finally the use that is made of it is what determines the consequences.

Like everything, there is always a double side of the coin, in this case, it depends on the person who uses a tool, if he uses a drone to take nice pictures or to drop a bomb on others.

Technology is evolving and the drone is getting so much attention these days because many companies are trying to use this in their businesses. I have read some news where Amazon is using drones to deliver the products but it's not available in my country so I'm not sure how it works but the future looks bright I believe.

I've read about it too, Amazon uses drones, some pharmacies also used it a lot in the pandemic.
It is interesting all this development but surely there will be a lot of people who will be unemployed, I assume that this is part of what is coming to us also, part of the effects of technological development.

Very well said that Drones are much more than what we see and we can expect a better use case in the future. This is a good product backed by technology and hopefully, this can replace delivery segment with drones.

Many technical achievements in history are based on military research: that is where the most extensive financial resources and the greatest freedom of development existed at all times. Gradually, such inventions were then adopted in the civilian sphere. But it also seems to work the other way round: almost any harmless device can also be used for warlike purposes. The fact remains: technology is not good or evil. Humans themselves have everything in their hands. Unfortunately...?

The great detail is that, I even see that some powers could put a large part of the national budget in armaments and for war purposes, far above other areas that could be more important.

Hello friend, drones have contributed a lot since their arrival, but as you say the use for war purposes makes it a super weapon, the first time I saw them for that purpose was a movie called "Agent under fire" where the drones had in their memory the faces of the people they had to annihilate and these came as swarms of bees for their target.

I can't imagine being chased by drones to annihilate me, it must be a very terrible feeling. But, it can be a use in the future, of course.

Really true buddy, gone are those days when drones were merely instruments of photography alone, now it goes way deeper than that, the sophistication of the drone technology can now be used to solve practical life problems like issues of security.

Here in Bogota they also use drones for that, to photograph when there are traffic accidents, in order to reduce the time of traffic stoppage.
