These days I have been reviewing very specific information about environmental pollution, the greenhouse effect and especially what is said and what is not said about electric energy and its use for vehicular mobility, giving it priority over combustion cars.
A few days ago I saw a very interesting video that disproved some things they say about this change, and rather made it clear that what is believed to be the cleanest and healthiest is really not so much.
I wonder how much is behind this that we are only told the half-truth, because while it is true that hydrocarbons do great damage, what could come with a total change of combustion cars for electric cars may solve a problem, but it will make us have to face others.
The main thing that is said is the use of electric batteries, which in itself is a big problem, since the main component of these is lithium, a highly harmful, poisonous substance.
Not only for human beings but also for soils, which finally affects plantations, and obviously food production, which in itself is very disrupted in recent years.
The other big problem is the large amount of water required to produce batteries, for the extraction of lithium, for the production of electric cars, this alone represents a big problem for the future, considering the level of water scarcity we have now.
And we cannot lag behind when we talk about the high levels of energy that would be required to maintain the load of these cars, and if we analyze the fact that much of the electrical energy we know comes from hydrocarbons, we are in a similar situation or worse.
The other thing, of which little is said is that the tires of the cars, even the electric ones are petroleum products, and when driving they always release microparticles that will remain in the environment for thousands of years, then, this will continue to be a problem, but very little is said about it.
I believe that many things must change, for a more self-sustainable world, to see what can be done so that all the bad things that are done are stopped and we can guarantee a world for all for a long time to come.
I vote for e-fuels, that means synthetic petrol for internal combustion engines... Beside other solutions. To use a car about 30 years is the most sustainable way for individual transport.

I have not read up regarding those e-fuels, but I will. Sounds like a good alternative.

I'm going to check it out, I'm sure I will. Because it is always good to be informed, the information is not heavy. 🙂
Thank you
