I remember at the end of the last century I started reading about what was "Globalization " and the importance of this, I was in high school, so being a teenager I had a somewhat limited vision, much more if we consider that the internet was not what it is today, no smart phones or other technological advances that we have today to be aware of as much as we want or we can, I'm not talking but a little more than 20 years ago ...
But nowadays we are talking about the inverse process, and lately I have been hearing it more and more, and this is about Deglobalization, I found it a very interesting topic, therefore, I wanted to share with everyone what I think about it.
De-globalization** is a term that refers to the trend to reduce economic, political and cultural connections between countries. As nations become increasingly protectionist and seek to strengthen their economic independence, de-globalization is becoming an increasingly evident trend around the world.
In recent years, de-globalization has manifested itself in a series of protectionist measures adopted by countries, such as tariffs, trade barriers and measures to limit foreign investment. These measures seek to protect domestic industries and reduce economic dependence on other countries. I think this will increasingly become a reality. We have seen this with the actions taken by President Trump's administration, when he raised tariffs on imports from China, for example.
We have also been able to see a push in this direction in view of everything that has come out of the war in Ukraine, such as, for example, the freezing of funds, of gold, which regardless of whether it is justified or not, marks the beginning of more radical changes in terms of breaking dependencies, the same of Europe's high dependence on Russian energy, and how this can be used as a weapon to manipulate, in short, there are many changes, and this is what they are calling Deglobalization.
In addition to economic measures, political and cultural de-globalization is also occurring.*** Many countries are adopting policies that seek to limit immigration and strengthen national borders. There is also a rise in nationalism and cultural protectionism, with countries seeking to protect their own traditions and values.
But, like everything else, de-globalization has its advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it can help protect domestic industries and workers from foreign competition. It can also allow countries to have more control over their economic and cultural policies. However, it can also have negative effects, such as higher prices for imported goods, reduced trade opportunities and reduced cooperation between countries.
Although de-globalization has its advantages and disadvantages, it is important to keep in mind that the world is changing and it is necessary to adapt to the changes and find the right balance to ensure a prosperous future for all, even if this for all is so relative....

I don't see anything positive in globalization. In fact... protocol-like things, where everything is always totally same, scare me.

Politics always only drives for power, which it wishes to achieve at the expense of the large crowd, but at the same time, there is always a critical point for the crowd, which if we exceed, due to the different opinions and needs, the whole thing will actually be counterproductive. In my eyes, for example, politics makes no sense for this very reason. If I look at the economic part of politics, it is nothing more than the logistics of costs. I take the money out of one pocket and put it in the other, great progress 😄

We need to be different, it's something inherent to human beings, it's part of what makes each of us unique, it's obvious.
But easier it is to dominate when people are handled as mass, in this to a large extent education does a great job, but it is logical, educational systems are created by states to generate a citizen with specific characteristics.
The issue is that nowadays the influence that is had by other means does not facilitate the process to those who only want to manipulate. Although it continues to happen and will continue to happen, that is what some social networks are for.
In general I think that cryptocurrencies and all this new system is giving ideas of how we can get rid of certain controls, and the states know it, and obviously, it is not something that pleases them. Anyway... thank you very much for your good comment.

The idea of globalisation is a wonderful thing: what justification do borders and nation states have...? We are collectively responsible for our planet. But when it gets so absurd that, for example, cattle raised in Germany are driven thousands of kilometres to Portugal to be slaughtered, the meat is carted to Poland for processing and the product ready for sale is then brought to German shops - because it is cheaper than raising and processing locally - then it is bullshit. When every federal state in Germany has its own curriculum and a move with school-age children can be a real challenge - bullshit. If we make milk powder from German milk overproduction and sell it in Africa cheaper than the local farmers sell their products - bullshit.... We have a talent for bullshit. A return to old patterns is therefore by no means the better choice: it is time to do things RIGHT!

Like everything friend @weisser-rabe, it has its details. That is very true, we are all responsible for what happens in this world, because ultimately we are part of it, and what we do or fail to do will have repercussions in some way.
All these movements of products to return to the same country of origin, but processed, is madness. And yes, it is even ridiculous.
