Future generations and the reality of homeownership

in hive-175254 •  last year

Hello friends of Project Hope, I wish you all a great week, a great month of September.

Today I want to share my impressions regarding something that I have been hearing a lot lately, and it has to do with the costs of acquiring homes in different parts of the world, how difficult this has been becoming the last decades, that is, for the last generations.

There is something very particular that I have been reading, beyond the rising costs of these, and is the fact that large corporations are taking over the houses, paying even in cash, and making people who have opted even for loans can not have the option of acquiring them.

I know this even sounds conspiranoid, and we might think it is exaggerated, but based on what I have been seeing, even here in Colombia, being able to buy a house is almost impossible because of the high prices and low salaries.

This explains why for many people it is more viable to pay rent for a house or apartment than to buy a house, not because they don't want to but because their income is not enough.

There is also the fact, of course, that there is little financial education and there is little knowledge of how to handle credit to buy houses, among other things.

I believe that we are living difficult times in this and many other aspects, that if we analyze well, that "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer " is not a lie, just as it is not a lie that the middle class is getting scarcer and scarcer.

I am not just saying it because I say it, or because of what I see, but because it is a frequent denunciation of some media based on official data. In short, the problem of the acquisition of housing is serious, in general they have turned things that should be a right into a big business, and that is the problem.

The same happens with health, food, entertainment, practically everything. This is a post that is not hopeful, I know, but it is something real. Thank you very much for reading this post.

This post is hopeful: because it means that you can break out of this seemingly self-evident system once you have seen through it. And is ready to take personal responsibility.

A great truth, in the end the things that happen to us depend almost entirely on ourselves. Well organized and planned we can achieve things, but if we only stick to the system, we will simply be very limited.

And by the way congratulations for this new responsibility as Steem Representative, I'm sure you will continue doing a great job, I have no doubt about it.

Thanks, Josè! I appreciate your words.

Greetings @josevas217, without a doubt worldwide the issue of housing and mortgage loans are a big business of never ending. that's why, as you mention sometimes, it becomes more feasible to rent than to acquire a home.

See you later, have a great week.
