Health insurance is a way to take care of our finances in the event of unforeseen events

Hello friends of Project HOPE, I hope you are all well. Today I want to share with you a thought regarding something that I consider to be very important, and that a few days ago I was thinking about it and talking to a friend, we were talking about the importance of taking care of our health as a fundamental part of our life but that it also serves to take care of our finances, and there we came to the need to also have health insurance in case of emergencies.

Health insurance is always a way to take care of our finances, although many see it as an unnecessary expense, because we are young and because we take care of ourselves, but the reality is that no one is exempt from an illness, an accident or an unexpected situation that may affect their economic stability. But, of course, most people think that "it's not going to happen to them" until it happens, and when it does, they begin to realize how expensive it can be to not be prepared.

The interesting thing is that we worry about protecting many things: we insure the car, the house, the cell phone, sometimes even things that are not really essential, but when it comes to our own health, many leave it aside, thinking that nothing will ever happen to compromise it, but surprises come, accidents happen.

And the worst thing is that, when the emergency arrives, hospitals and clinics do not wait, the bill starts to rise from the first minute and there is not much to do. What happens then? Debt, loans, and in many cases, losing a life's savings in a matter of days, is the sad reality for many when they do not take care of themselves and do not have insurance.

We are in times when the economy does not let up, everything goes up in price and it is increasingly difficult to make ends meet. Imagine adding to that a hospitalization or expensive treatment. This is where you feel the difference between having insurance and not having it. Because although it seems like a fixed expense that you could avoid, in the end it is an investment in peace of mind, in knowing that if something happens, you will not have to empty your bank account or depend on favors or collections.

You may not see it as a priority now, and that's normal, no one wants to think about illnesses or accidents. But the truth is that life is unpredictable, and at the least expected moment, insurance can make the difference between getting ahead with stability or being trapped in a financial crisis that can take years to recover from, don't you think?
