A big greeting to all the members of Project Hope, to all of us who make life here. This is a very important publication, since with it I try to guide users, and from this moment on they avoid making certain mistakes that could make their stay on the platform somewhat uncomfortable.
For a long time I have been doing work within Project Hope with the intention of counteracting users who plagiarize, knowing well that it is not a good practice at all. Luckily, this situation has been minimized, but since technology never stops, IT ALWAYS ADVANCES, a great tool based on Artificial Intelligence has emerged such as ChatGPT and many others.
We know well that they are tools that facilitate many processes, for that they have been created, but, it is necessary to have something present, the Proof Of Brain (POB) is something valued on this platform, therefore, Posting content that is 100% AI-powered and passing it off as your own is being considered the equivalent of PLAGARISM.
Just as there are tools that are used to Scan publications for Plagiarism, there are also some that have been created to detect whether or not the texts are created in AI. Here I will leave some links of these:
- https://app.gptzero.me/app/welcome
- https://www.zerogpt.com/
Being, of course, some more effective than others. But that used in combination can give a large percentage of accuracy in detection. I have recently been speaking with @crypto.piotr, Founder of this community, raising this new reality, and the need to keep ourselves free from this type of abuse, given that there is a team, in this case STEEM Watcher led by the friend @rex-sumon, who is doing a great job not only in the fight against plagiarism but against this type of abuse.
Therefore, it is necessary that all regular users of Project Hope (and of Steemit in general) keep this in mind.
From now on, posts will be reviewed not only for possible plagiarism but also for exclusive use of AI for content generation. Thus highlighting the importance that what you share here is created by you.
I take the opportunity to highlight that it is important to always use images without copyright, you can use image banks such as Pixabay or Pexels, where you can find millions of free images, or also, use images of your authorship, always placing the source from the same.
It is also important that you consider placing sources if you take any paragraph, data, statistics, or any type of information from an external page, with the intention of giving due recognition to the author.
Dear @josevas217
I cannot stress enough how concerned I am about issue of AI content creation. I'm glad to learn that there are tools allowing to determine probability that content is original or created by advanced bot/AI.
It seem to be crutial for all of project.hope members to understand that such a content is worth not more than plagiarized posts. And as such is not welcomed in our community.
Trying to determine whos posts are genetic and robotic may be a challenging task, but I hope that with help of our PH leaders we will be able to reduce amount of it in Project.hope.

Thank you very much for the comment. And yes, indeed, it is important that users know that submitting a publication exclusively written by AI is similar to plagiarism, and that it incurs a similar offense.

Greetings friend @josevas217, excellent your publication this allows us to always know that technology helps us to many things but also hurts us for others. The tools you share to detect content developed with AI will be very useful for the community.

Hi @josevas217.
Excellent the points you have mentioned in this article, actually I see convenient this kind of work to value the contribution we make with our own qualities, thanks for sharing this information, greetings.

Good day to all
Thanks for sharing this amazing information. I always write my post by own. Whoever do copy paste are not good for any blogging site. Still i never used chatgpt. Chat gpt is good and bad chances are 50/50. Main thing is how people use it. Btw you shared few tools for plagiarism check. Thats a good job.

Ever since I first heard about ChatGPT, it came to my mind the idea of creating content by abusers to post as their own...and I must admit I didn't expect to have useful tools to detect this kind of practice. At some point, I thought it was impossible for content creators (especially written content creators like us at Steemit) to make a living anymore.
You presented amazing tools to address a hot topic. There might be some issues in their accuracy, but I believe we will be able to use technology to fight back against those who use it to their advantage
Thanks for taking the time to write this important publication @josevas217
Resteemed :)

This is a hot topic these days where people use ai tools like chat GPT to generate content but we need to understand that chat gpt picks the information from internet so its not unique. Steemit is a platform where unique content is the requirement so using AI to write is not the right way. This is definitely not fair and people who use it should be dealth in proper way. Thanks for the update buddy

Excellent post and excellent discussions on the post. I've been away for a while working on a personal project but came back to steemit to better understand how large scale language models (LLMs) like chat-GPT may be impacting steemit. You can learn more about some of my thoughts here. One fascinating point I take from your write up is that 100% using of chat-GPT is bad, but what of 99%, 70%? Where does it stop? I'm really curious about how project.hope, steemit and the world in general will evolve in the era of chat-GPT and can't wait for some of these questions to be answered. However, if you are as curious as I am on this subject and want to debate these in some form, I'll be both glad and honored to be your sparring partner!

This is great for the platform. The writing as a ct is slowly dying as AI could do it all and people are exploiting this

Yes, it is valid to use IS, I do not question it, but for other platforms, here the ideal is to create our own content.

hi dear friend @josevas217
I think it is good to check the content, PH is a solid community that has a long time working and tools like GPT chat can always spoil the hard work, I think the best thing for any author is to rest if you do not have any idea to publish.
god bless you

Is that the best option, with nothing there is to write, why the mind is exhausted, which can happen, better to stay away and come back when we are in a better disposition.

Greetings @josevas217 ❤️😊
Firstly I commend your effort coming up with such a lovely solution in the community and this will definitely help to reduce the effect of "Lazy-Farming" and plagiarism for AI users in the community.
Even though some of the AI tools also claim to detect AI generated contents or articles through prediction, i think this is where the concept of "community member trust score" can be implemented.
Some community members may not be a fan of AI tools but probably due to poor grammatical use of words in their contents, some AI tool detector may classify such content as an AI generated content. How do you plan to solve such issue?
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️☺️💓❤️

Hi @josevas217
Thanks for socializing this important reminder, in the last few weeks a whole fuss was unleashed with this using AI in publications, while nowadays, people can use AI tools to improve their manuscripts or their approach to rewrite content saving you time, this practice does not apply for this kind of platforms as Steem is.
I have been investigating all the edges in this regard, and I have realized that there are percentages in some publications of users who have not used AI, I believe that the databases used in AI applications are of academic origin and information, so, there is a probability that our sources have a percentage of content generated by AI, this sense, we must be alert and before uploading any post first pass them through some AI detector.
Best regards, be well.

There are many nuances in this, which little by little we will learn. AI is a very interesting tool, which you have to learn to use, because I think it's the future, but everything must be used respecting the rules, to avoid inconvenience. Thank you

Many thanks for this information. It is glad to know that there are now ways that one will be able to determine if a text is generated by AI or not. Thanks for providing the tools to assist in checking for this.
Have a blessed week buddy.

Yes, as I said, none of the tools is 100% effective, however, the use of several of these can give a high degree of certainty when determining whether or not there is AI in the text generation.
Thank you, have a nice week too.

I was speaking with a friend yesterday and I said I am a writer on a blockchain platform, the next thing he said was, do you use AI to write? Where is my skill as a writer if I do that, I responded. Thanks for writing on this.

Good point, but true. And we need to, if we invite someone or tell them about Steemit, make it clear that using AI is frowned upon here. Greetings.

Hi @josevas217, I find interesting the call that is made to prevent abuse with artificial intelligence, it is certainly a tool that has been widely used lately, but I think that with these tools that you mention to detect its use and if the author is not really a person who likes writing it will be very easy to detect it, especially when they choose topics that they do not master.
See you later, have a great week.

Good point, especially if it is a very specific topic, which merits some knowledge. I think the best thing to do is to simply write our own.

Wow... so cool man!
It's good the team is doing this...
I hope steemwatcher does good work, coz there is some Hivewatcher in Hive, which has started downvoting all I do, although their original intention must have been to weed out spam...
Ha... I ever used ChatGPt, is it good?... is it easy to use?...anyway

Bhind Hive Watcher are some known Project Hope Haters, knowing that you are related to PH in some way, they may reject some of your posts, if not all of them. They are haters by profession.
Among other things, that's why I totally distanced myself from that platform.

talk about hate like this that makes 0 sense... they downvote, not just my post, every coment I make too... like a little bit of poison...
irritating... anyway ... thanks for this insight. Because I was wondering why are they downvoting like this...anyway

Good afternoon. I fully support your initiative. I hate people who plagiarize. I write all my content myself. Images are screenshots from videos and other open sources. Maybe the lyrics are a little sloppy. This is because I use google translator. I know English on "3". If my materials are not suitable for your community, then indicate this in the comments.

Hi @vpodessa, have a nice day.
I have reviewed your content, may I suggest that you use images without copyright, not screenshots of videos, as there are millions of images without copyright, for example, in Pixabay or Pexels, are image banks that can work for you.
