Hello Project Hope Community, I hope this week has been very beneficial for everyone. Today I want to tell you about something good that has happened in a company in Colombia, related to cryptocurrencies.
It is clear that any use that is given to these will have a positive impact, because beyond the speculation of the market in general, what (at least for me) gives more value to a cryptocurrency is its use, its utility.
In this particular case that I want to share with you is the fact that the company Despegar.com has started to accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment for the airline tickets they sell.
This is great news, at least in my opinion. This was announced after reaching certain agreements with Binance, the most important exchange today. As I understood, the payment will be made through Binance Pay. Binance's integrated system that allows transfers at no cost, and with a transaction speed of seconds.
This seems very good to me, on the one hand, with these alienzas, Binance grabs ground in the market, as it allows other types of operations serving as an intermediary, which allows a greater flow of income, and continues to entrench it as the main exchange house. Particularly in this aspect, I must say that I am not in favor of centralization, however, I consider the strengthening of this Exchange to be good for the crypto environment.
On the other hand, that the company Despegar.com accepts cryptocurrencies is a way to take a step forward in favor of the use of these digital currencies in a more widespread way, which benefits us all.
I think that everything that contributes to the crypto environment is beneficial for all of us, to give an international utility to cryptocurrencies is to give them power, by allowing them to serve as a means of payment, more and more people will feel that it is something effective. And if we compare it with traditional means of payment, which usually take several days even to get the money from one country to another, and add to that the high cost, it is clear the advantages we have when using cryptos.
I know it is a sector still in development, which has a long way to go, but if we can see in a few years a more widespread use of this form of payment at least is what I hope. I assume you too.
