In a world where everything is becoming more technological, there are things that are really worrying me about the security of our data.
I don't think so about End-to-End encryption, because it has become clear how Facebook, Whatsapp, Google, etc, use our information for millionaire personal benefits. However, that has been accepted in a certain way, and since they have simplified our lives through the use of the tools that we can use in the cloud, it seems that everything is free, however the cost is really very high, as far as I can tell. watch.
I am writing this post very specifically because I have just come across news that is worrying in relation to the control that a state can exercise.
I will specifically talk about a case in China, where the WPS Office service (software similar to Google Docs) has spied on and blocked the content of a Chinese author, in the review process, without prior notice. .removed the author's access to her work, she can't even access it on her computer, or which makes it look like they not only control the document in the cloud but they have had access to her PC... this is terrible.
The author is registered under the pseudonym of Mitu, and said that she sent the draft of her work of more than a million words to someone who was going to review it, only the two of them had access to the document, and when the person opened the document was locked. And the system said that within the writing there was “sensitive content”.
The problem here is that they have reviewed all the writing using algorithms created specifically for it, to spy, and limited access to the work.
Now, it is very well known that the Chinese government is an anarchic, dominant, we could say almost a dictatorship where the state has total control of everything. But, what worries me is that the same could happen in other countries, with the intention of the states having more and more control over their citizenship.
A few years ago in China they established 100% digital payment methods, which were not in other parts of the world, over time this has become normal, but will the same thing happen with this type of control of what in the cloud is managed? is it already happening?...
As a citizen of the world I do not like this at all, the thing is that it seems that for the majority it is something inevitable, some do not even think about this, but I keep saying that giving more power to power is allowing them to take over every detail of your life, with no option at all...
It's a big deal, it really is, don't you think?

Sometimes we take for granted our security in the cloud, far from it, there are applications that monitor our activity for commercial purposes, we believe they are free and the truth is that they are selling our information, and on the other hand that a state can control the content that is shared by its citizens is undoubtedly a form of dictatorship.
