Attention Project Hope Hive Subscribers - Spamming Accounts !!!

in hive-175254 •  5 years ago  (edited)

This will be a short post.

I will address two very precise points directly related to our beloved Project Hope Hive community and my recent experience now that we have exceeded 550 subscribers.

Very motivating and satisfying situations have occurred since our project has its own front end.
This new stage of Steemit marked a before and after in the history of decentralized social networks.
It is a golden opportunity for all the projects that have been advancing slowly. Now we have had the tool to reach more people more quickly.

As we could see in the publication of @ fucho80, from the beginning our hive began to set a trend, and we have remained one of the communities preferred by users and with a greater number of active publications.

Project Hope Hive has a group of frequent writers who have demonstrated their attachment to the philosophy and dynamics of our community. They are writers with a high level of knowledge, well educated and who adopted the spirit of mutual support that we want to convey and which represents the essence of our project.

My New Personal Experience

This is a small reflection that I had recently and I want to share with you.

I noticed now I hardly visit any publications that are outside the hive. I do my daily hours on steemit by reviewing and commenting on the publications of our active members. There are so many quality publications that are made daily that I have almost no opportunity to see anything else. I think this is a solid sign of our exponential growth.

A worrying aspect

Related to these points raised above, I noticed that a group of users who made some publications, which at first glance look like a great post, have joined our hive.

These publications have a common aspect. Despite being different users, they have similar structure and are based on YouTube video inserts.
I felt great joy when I approached the YouTube profile of these people and I could see that they are "Consecrated Youtubers" with tens of thousands of followers.

But then this joy became a concern, when I reviewed the comments section of these supposed users. Which it was the result? "Zero comments".

This is something extremely unusual for an experienced user in terms of crypto, blockchain and social networks and even more so for a Youtuber with this many followers.

Therefore I had to presume that these accounts were false.

There was a Legitimate Steemit User, who also noticed this. He did a more thorough investigation and could see that we are in the presence of a wave of spammers with the same modus operandis.
I highly recommend reading this Post and I ask you to drop your comments and impressions if possible, since @louis88 joined our subscriber list and we will soon have his work in our hive.

Attention! A new wave of Youtube content spammers here at Steem. Proofed Fakers List and more... by @louis88

image.png

Recently, there has been a new wave of spammers (minimum 52 steem accounts - see list below) who publish various YouTube channels and their content here on Steem...

I say goodbye by inviting you to be attentive to these types of situations inside and outside our hive.
There will always be such unscrupulous people who incur identity theft simply with the intention of trying to get rewards.
This harms our community and the entire Steem ecosystem in general.

I think that in these cases the use of downvotes and red flags is justified.

I heard about Project Hope from a friend. I must say, y'all are doing a great job. I'm a proponent of emerging technology and I've written many articles under AI previously, I think it will be nice to be part of this community. I've subscribed and I hope to make a post as soon as possible.

Appreciated @samminator.

Glad to meet you. Thank you for those kind words.

Project Hope is a community of friends who share similar interests. Here we all support each other and try to maintain an atmosphere of optimism.
They are almost two years of much effort, which are bearing fruit.

I see that you have already learned something about the topics that our writers develop.

It would be a true honor for us to have your work in our hive.

You can join our broadcast channels on Telegram and Discrord.
I take the opportunity to introduce you to our leading coach @crypto.piotr. Maybe you would share some DM with him and learn a little more about our dynamics and economy.

Your friend, Juan.

I've already joined both the telegram channel and the discord group. It's an honour to be part of the community. I'll also get to meet the leading coach and other brilliant minds.
Many thanks buddy

Welcome dear friend.

Thanks Juan :)

Yes... we need an identity solution that works for blockchains. Eager to see if Voice from Block. One will actually meet Daniel Larimer bold statements from the past and if it will actually solve identity or not. If it does (partially or entirely), then everyone can just adapt and copy it (there is not bad in copying good stuff that works ok!! especially on blockchain).

Thanks for sharing this timely alert. We don't want infiltrators and conmen in our community. Onwards!

I have to congratulate all the research work done by @louis88 to be able to make your post.

I think it's not the first time I see spam problems on this Social Network, but this one that uses content from YouTube video producers without the consent of its original creators is a new form of spam for me

Very good observation friend @juanmolina

This must be happening in different communities, surely.
There are always those who try to take advantage of the situation. But it is also true that every lie ends up being discovered. I still think, I think a shower of "no" votes would do him good...

@juanmolina I do believe Project HOPE is an outstanding project and u believe if we work together we can create more seasoned authors, as for spam, I'll check out the post by @louis88 I never knew this was happening

Thank you very much for being so supportive dear @josediccus.

@juanmolina, Thank you for mentioning me. Hope that this Spam Posting will be stopped soon. Good wishes from my side and stay blessed.

Hi @culgin.

Thanks for mentioning me and brining your post to my attention @juanmolina

Indeed having our own front-end where we can grow together as a community is very encouraging, motivating and satisfying.

I noticed now I hardly visit any publications that are outside the hive.

Cool :)
do you ever visit posts from your feed or resteemed by others? I kind of stopped (not enough time to engage with people who are not part of our group).

Again, thx for bringing this issue to our attention. Luckily we have 'mute' button ready hehehe :)
Cheers, Piotr

do you ever visit posts from your feed or resteemed by others?

I hardly do it anymore. The publications of our hive are so varied, of quality and abundant, that they are enough to keep me busy.

Thanks @juanmolina

I guess someone should develop some method to control that type of spammers, especially when they are with issues of religious proselytism. Hopefully soon measures are taken, I guess the witnesses are busier right now with everything about Tron.

You say it for @olaf123.
The entire community is outraged by these religious spam.
I don't know where steemcleaners, jaguar.force and others have always done this job.

I think the Tron situation has them very busy.

If they are scammers they can be clearly downvoted or banned from the hive.

But it is sometimes difficult to decide what is valuable or not. I, personally, often prefer readings on professional sites and blogs. Readings on Steem are mostly good only about - Steem related topics... I sometimes read interesting posts here about investing, or see some nice photos. But with every good posts 3-6 bad ones appear. Professional sites have a better quality, are structured, redacted better.

@juanmolina, i never saw those posts maybe because they were hidden but it is good seeing that you were able to identify them. I hope as a community we could help real community members improve on how our writing skills while chasing away spammers who want to disorganise the community.

Hello Dear @juanmolina this is really alarming and we must actively monitor our community activity and weed out any bad actors
Hats off to you for your investigative journalistic talent. Just an indication that there is a lot more to you then meets the eye ;)
Kudos buddy!!!
