#SPUD4STEEM - ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PROJECT HOPE COMMUNITY

I want to invite all the members and subscribers of my Project Hope Community to participate on August 1 2020, in the most important initiative of Steemit, which is promoted by @steemitblog, @steemcurator01, @steemingcurators and @kiwiscanfly.

"Steemit Power Up Day for Steem"

As we all know, Blockchain Steem is based on PoS, where our influence and presence within the ecosystem will depend on the number of tokens we have in our stake.

Stake STEEM possession levels also directly influence the value and strength of the coin, so holding more STEEM will always be beneficial to all blockchain users in general.

The "No-Powerdown" was included within the recent Project Hope Community policy update.
We do this since we are believers that it is possible to strengthen the STEEM ecosystem and revalue the native currency if all users contribute to increasing and maintaining our SP.

For all of the above, I want to convey my enthusiasm to each of you members of Project Hope Community and invite you to participate on August 1, 2020.

Dear @juanmolina, @kiwiscanfly, @xpilar

I honestly do not understand why only % increase is being taken into considaration.

It simply means, that noone who have more than 1k SP would probably participate. After all - if such a person would like to compete with other smaller accounts, then such user would need to use 20 times more resources comparing to someone who has initially 50SP.

I've myself considered joining since I've enough funds on binance to purchase 5-6k steem and power it up. However I do not see a point in doing so (as I have almost 4k SP and someone with 100 SP would reach same % by only purchasing and powering up another 150 SP).

Other than that - this is surely great initiative.

Thanks for your comments, i am open to increasing the threshold personally - this will be something i will be discussing with each sponsor after this #spud4steem to gather their thoughts.

We have made some great progress after re starting #spud4steem on steemit 4 months ago, actually the whole place has :)

Last month showed a strong willingness from the community to power up which what we need more of.

The prizes are meant to incentivize the smaller Steemians, the planktons, minnows and aspiring Dolphins out in the Steem Ocean to participate in powering up on SPUD4STEEM and hopefully create more understanding as to why Steem Power is important to user account growth as well as a show or Steem Blockchain support.

Therefore, the % basis is very important here so that a small account has the opportunity to win in this competition. It is important to see the point in the competition.

If changes are made in the competition, it must be divided into groups with the number of SteemPower so that those with small accounts will also have the opportunity.

SPUD4STEEM is not just a competition, it stands for STEEM POWER UP DAY which takes place the first day of every month.

We ask that Steemians that are able, to POWER UP any amount of STEEM they have on SPUD4STEEM day.

We ask Steemians that are currently Powering Down, to put a Stop on Powering Down for that Day
We ask that those that trade or sell Steem to Not Sell or Trade Steem on SPUD4STEEM Day, but to do it the day before or after if possible. Also, to cancel any type of Sell Order on the Exchanges.

As I say this is more than pure competition, because it is about that everyone can do SPUD4STEEM the first of every month.
Yes, anyone can support this project even if they are outside the rules of the competition

Hi @crypto.piotr
A very valid point you have raised that this % is not the right way instead it should be only focused on the amount a person uses to power up. I have over 10k SP and if I powerup 1k then its just 10% of mine whereas a use having 500 SP powerup 100 seem only then it will be 20%..
May be @kiwiscanfly and @xpilar will make some changes in the event this time.

I am in and will power up for sure with the maximum amount possible. Thanks @juanmolina for this great post. Resteem done for more attention by more steemians.

Wow! SPUD is here again.. Wow! That's really good to hear. I remember I always part in SPUD almost every year and it also boosts the price or value of steem as expected.

I think @project.hope community members are also indirectly taking part in SPUD from the onset because we don't encourage powering down of steem here, we are always growing our steem power which automatically adds more to the worth of steem.

Thanks for reminding us here. I hopefully would participate in #spud4steem though that's a great bunch of steem needed. I hope after this edition, @kiwiscanfly and his team would see the need to review the game rules by looking out for a better metric.
