Hello dear readers, today I will not talk about cryptocurrencies, as I wanted to dedicate these lines to share with all of you some thoughts about an interesting scientific article I read whose research data revealed that humor is a sign of underlying cognitive ability and aptitude, i.e., facial expressions when smiling are an indication of general intelligence.

I must confess that I was surprised to learn this scientific data, as I was unaware that smiling is always linked to our level of intelligence, and that being funny and being able to appreciate humor are signs of above-average intelligence.

The study found that people who are embarrassed to tell jokes with their friends are less intelligent, as they lack creativity, judgment and a sense of humor.

According to the study, there are many types of humor ranging from slapstick, deadpan, dirty, topical, dark, satire, parody and surreal. Some require a higher degree of intelligence to appreciate than others, such as satire.

Satire being one of the most difficult types of humor because it depends on intelligence to succeed, as you can't make fun of something if you don't understand it first, and it takes creativity to use the right type of platform for your amusement.

Tell me how much fun you are?
