Countdown to imminent arrival of hybrid brains in less than a decade

In this post I will be sharing with all of you content related to major scientific advances, specifically scientific information on the development that is most likely to impact humanity.

It is worth mentioning that at the neuroscientific level it is imminent that in the next decade there will be devices with the ability to connect the brain directly to the Internet through items such as caps capable of reading thoughts.

As mentioned by the worldwide director of IBM's research area, in this hypothetical future an algorithm will be able to auto-complete the imagination, as word processing software already does with words.

It has also been indicated that the first somewhat rudimentary devices could be on sale within the next decade, and will be available in electronics stores, according to the calculations of these neuroscience experts.

Now, according to one of the IBM experts and neuroscientist from Columbia University, Dr. Rafael Yuste, the most important implication is that it will change the nature of the human being, in literal words: "We are going to become hybrids, and this is something that is going to happen, yes or yes".

Can you imagine the extent to which the human species will have hybrid brains in less than a decade?

hello @lupafilotaxia,
this technology is already being successfully developed, a few weeks ago i was surfing the web and i saw the news that some scientists managed to make a monkey play video games using an implant in the brain. i think that in less time than we think we will have this technology at our fingertips.

Hello @lupafilotaxia, This is a very commented topic nowadays, however the fundamental point is how prepared is society to assume this technological advance? Is it ethically acceptable? Perhaps we should hope that this fact comes closer to see what happens to world level. However, it is still interesting.

Hi @tocho2

I agree with you, certainly the society is not prepared for this type of neuroscience advances, however, the human being in his ambition will pay all that is within his reach to fulfill these undertakings of being able to read our ideas and thoughts.

Best regards, be well.

Hello friend it is really interesting and on the other hand a bit disturbing what you point out in your post. I think that in a way these hybrids would be useful in the case of diseases that affect and damage the brain, however, I fear that these hybrids are also misused in my opinion the human being has failed to develop and much less use the great potential it has in the human brain now imagine a hybrid. I really do not know what to think about it. Again very interesting topic.
