While it is true that the galloping technological growth has created multiple advantages for modern society, we must also accept that at the same time this reality has led to a visible dependence, this if we accept that, as a modern society for the proper functioning of states, institutions and security forces, we became an essential issue the use of technological infrastructures.

As a modern society, we are aware of the increasing dependence on technological infrastructures, as we have adapted to the fact that information technologies make possible the execution of our main governmental, financial, social and logistical activities.

However, beyond being aware of the growing dependence on technological infrastructures, unfortunately we have not been sufficiently prepared to face the consequences of the so-called cyber-attacks, or criminal actions perpetrated by cybercriminals that range from theft to data hijacking.

Perhaps data theft is the most recurrent topic to which we are linked, however, when we hear the word cyber hijacking we find theoretical disorientations, because it is not such a common topic in our day to day life.

The truth is that cyberkidnapping exists, and for those who have not heard this term before, it is worth mentioning that these criminal actions are developed by technology experts with the aim of inflicting terror by kidnapping data and then demanding large sums of money for the ransom of those data.

In this regard, it should be noted that a colossal cyber-attack was recently perpetrated in the United States that affected hundreds of companies, the aforementioned cyber-breach occurred last Friday afternoon, according to official versions, in this incident, hackers demonstrated that by attacking the software provider of multiple organizations can catch dozens, perhaps hundreds of victims in a single blow.

Hello @lupafilotaxia
With the progressive increase in the use of technology comes the increase in exposure to cyber attacks. We could all be victims of it, unfortunately. Recently in the US they hacked a major gas and gasoline company, they created total chaos, the same has been done even with hospitals, this is terrible.

Hi @josevas217, that's right the attacks will be proportional to the rate of growth in the use of technology. I read that information you comment, and certainly is one of the evidence of the scope of these criminal attacks. Best regards, be well.

You're right, this era has seen an increasingly dependence on technology and this has opened up the world to a whole new level of cyber attacks. This, however, is my first time of hearing about cyberkidnapping. What else should we expect in this era?

Nice piece buddy. Thanks for sharing

Hi @luckyali, correct these criminal acts are perpetrated by tech experts, they seek to be to political and business mainly with this data hijacking. Best regards, be well.

You're right, more advanced technology will also threaten our lives, if we don't prepare ways to prevent it.

Hi @tucsond, correct it is a prevention issue, but in that we have disadvantages because of our kind of modern culture. Best regards, be well.
