Greetings and welcome dear users of this prestigious platform, back with the scientific approach, this time we will be socializing the influence and incidence of the accumulation of microplastics in the intestine of living beings and how they move throughout the metabolic system.

In this sense, it is necessary to understand that a microplastic particle is considered as all those pieces of plastic that tend to pollute the environment and whose diameter is equal to 15 mm, these materials come from from various sources, although currently the products associated with cosmetics, clothing or fishing articles that derive from industrial processes, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the human species, have generalized the use of this type of materials, which have been able to reach from the outside to the inside of our intestine.

Therefore, we have to specify that any material associated with plastics are difficult to biodegrade and consequently only with the action of time and environmental conditions they disintegrate into much smaller particles, which They are the ones that end up traveling or being absorbed by living beings, staying throughout the body, including tissues, muscles and consequently when the accumulation is very high, an intoxication process is produced that in many cases can cause death. death.

Under this approach, the precise implications of the accumulation of these microplastics are still unknown, so that at the scientific level, research is being carried out to generate a methodological guide to detect and quantify the presence of these substances in the human body, on the analysis of biological samples which would give a broader and more precise vision of the risk that is run due to an overexposure of these substances on health.

Based on the above, a group of researchers associated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona have managed to detect, identify and quantify a methodological process that allows microplastics to be monitored, from the different environmental ecosystems to the interior of a living organism, so that the finding has been developed through an electron microscopy process, using as starting material the larvae of the Drosophila melanogaster fly, a species widely used in the study of biological phenomena and processes.

In this sense, the group of researchers have managed to describe the behavior of microplastics along the route to the intestine, using commercial polystyrene as a starting point, which has been simplified to manometric measurements, they have followed up on it. on a micro scale which has allowed them a kind of photographic report that allows detecting and identifying each of the stages and interactions that occur in the body of the species depending on the presence of micro plastics

Consequently, it has been possible to describe and identify the ability of this substance to first cross the intestinal barrier and its presence at the hemolymph level, which is equivalent to the behavior that it would be obtained in the blood of humans and in the hemocytes, which biologically are all those cells that correspond to our lymphocytes.

Thus, this study allows conceptual and methodological approximations to be made in order to accurately determine the degree of influence that the presence of microplastics has in the intestine, and for this they have been able to carry out this study. type of procedure by Drosophila melanogaster flies.

Greetings @madridgb 💞😊

I'm definitely certain that Micro plastic materials will definitely have it's side effect in human body even though we tend to acquire these set of pollutants in our body unknowingly due to their tiny sizes via consumption by food or through air. It was really nice learning from your write up today buddy!!

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead 💞😊

Greetings friend @hardaeborla, no doubt scientific advances allow us to generate a new perspective about the functioning of species. Greetings

Hello @madridbg, The migration of microplastics to the intestine seems to me to be a dangerous finding, I think it would be very possible that microplastics could also migrate into the bloodstream, then not only would they be metabolic disorders as a consequence, there would also be the possibility of other types of very serious disorders and diseases.

Here in my city there is a research group dedicated to the topic of microplastics and their effect on marine animals.

Greetings @tocho2 we are aware that every day we are immersed in a large amount of these microparticles and their accumulation can become harmful in our body. Greetings

Hello @madridbg, an important study because it is true that the effect of microplastics on health has not yet been specified, but it is well known the ability they have to accumulate in various organisms, and these materials have already entered the trophic chain, so they represent an imminent danger to humanity.

Very good research carried out you have been doing awesome with your post finding there are several environmental activities that affect our health negatively the presence of micro plastic can cause real harm to our biological system since this plastic are not easily disintegrated.

Hola amiga, wow, excellent information, you have given us a master class. I think this is a quality post and it is important to be aware of what we do to our body. Greetings.

Hello @madridbg
I had not known about this, the truth is that seeing plastic microparticles in toothpaste already that is a big problem. I would dare to say, based on natural logic, that in the site of the organism where a plastic microfragment is lodged, there must be a process of local fibrosis, and depending on where it is, it will bring its consequences, it is not the same a fibrosis in an arm muscle than in the heart muscle, for example.

Hello @madridbg.

I always like to read your posts, you always manage a very interesting content so I always read them to persar that I don't know much about this topic, I like to learn about everything a little including science topics that are so interesting.
