Greetings and welcome dear readers of this prestigious platform, especially to all those users who make life in the community of @ecotrain community where we can visualize different perspectives on the environmental situation we live in today and that is being driven by decisions in many wrong and distorted product of economic interest and growth that our society demands.
In this sense, it is necessary to remember that a couple of days ago we shared information associated with the rights that nature has as a living organization to preserve its spaces, so that humanity should respect them in order to maintain the balance that natural systems have developed.
Thus, it has been man's disrespect that has caused several adverse scenarios for society and the environment, including earthquakes, floods, global overheating, among other conditions that we have addressed in previous publications.
Consequently, before the onslaught of nature in reflex to assert their rights, society has no choice but to seek mechanisms to adapt to the growing changes that are occurring, in this particular, we will focus on the situation we have been living for more than 20 days in the Catatumbo municipality of Zulia state, Venezuela, as we have mentioned before, is an area that is a high producer of banana crops and various products, among which meat and dairy products are distributed in different areas of the country, so that the production in this area is equivalent to more than 30% of the product that is consumed nationally.
So that the onslaught of the waters has affected more than 35,000 hectares of land and before publishing this information the water levels are already very close to the areas of the municipality of Catatumbo and unfortunately there are few actions that man can take to reverse the problem that is arising and even more so when the economic resources available to the municipal government are limited and do not have the necessary machinery to implement an efficient drainage mechanism so that the waters do not affect society in general.
In this sense, it has been the community as a whole that has initiated a gradual march in search of the necessary mechanisms to solve the situation, so that it has been possible to recover one of the water extraction pumps that was inoperative in the town, the same is being used as a process to extract wastewater from the same community, Since the different sanitary water inlets and outlets have been closed to prevent the flood waters that circulate through the production units from entering the homes of each inhabitant of the Parish of Encontrados in the Municipality of Catatumbo, Zulia, Venezuela.
Undoubtedly it is a worrying situation, which in a certain way has allowed us to develop teamwork from the organized community, how interesting it would be if these initiatives would be taken into account to act proactively and positively in the recovery of our environment, where each of the members of society, we can put our grain of sand in favor of ensuring that balance at the economic, social and environmental level that our planet requires.
