It is a very important time in the STEEM-Verse right now.
The change to four week power downs made it so that community members who no longer wanted to be here to move on, faster.
There may also be a few more users syphoning out due to the BLURT and ZAPATA communities which will be launching on July 4.
That means that the new core is being built right now
Are you part of the new core?
If you have time or money invested on the blockchain you are.
You are the new layer of: I have been here since...
This means it is a great time to decide on the culture of our blockchain
Who are we?
What do we do?
What is important to us?
How do we treat our community members?
This poster was originally made for a Native American audience who is waking up from the great attempt of cultural genocide on our people. It is a little sad that it seems fitting here, as many of the interactions in the past really highlighted the abuse that is often dished out on this blockchain. Let's do better
This is when it is important to know the difference between criticizing and critiquing.
When you are criticizing someone you are cutting them down, showing them their flaws, and letting them know that you are not in approval of whatever it is you are putting down.
When you critique you are helping spot weaknesses, and giving input on to how to make things better.
One says: I don't like it, it is stupid.
The other says: I like these specific things. These things can be improved. This is how you improve them.
Remember, a critique can quickly turn into a criticism, if you have no input on how to make the issue better.
There is a difference between telling someone their hair sucks, and letting someone know where you bought your organic gel that works miracles, are two different things.
That is of course, if someone has bothered to ask for your opinion.
Criticism actually makes people feel lesser than themselves and it is wrong to criticize others and make them feel terrible especially when they are trying to make something worth while.

I agree. Criticism cuts down while critiquing helps build.
Thanks for commenting.

Hello @metzli
You touched on several issues in your publication, so there are several things I have to say.
Dee blurt and Zapata little I've read, to be honest.
Although I must say that there are some things that caught my attention, but, for now I must read more about it to have a better judgment about it.
Now, that can affect and produce the migration of more people to that other social network.
If the content of the steemit blockchain is duplicated again, it could affect the value of steem as tokens.
These are just things that come to mind.
Worse, I think it's a good time to be able to get more people on this platform, that's if I'm very clear about it.
To criticize, to give an opinion, should always go with a message that something can be improved, I agree on that. In another type of criticism, the one that hurts, should disappear, there is no need, unless it is to serve as an example of what not to do ...
