Bitcoin and cryptocurrency have become household names. Adoption of Bitcoin has been pronounced, and new evidence suggests millions are adopting Bitcoin and cryptocurrency usage. How can we reach the later-adopters and bring them with us on this opportunity?

According to a study by Coin Metrics, there are some 16.6 million Bitcoin addresses with $10 or more, and this represents an increase of 14% since the Bitcoin peak of 2018 when BTC rose to $20,000. This is great news for Bitcoin adoption, and Bitcoin's price has risen to almost $12,000 as organic and institutional investment has intensified. It is no secret that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency stories have been picked up by the media and have become a household name. With so many buying BTC, a new all time high is inevitable at some point. How do we reach the holdouts, and what can we do to be ambassadors for cryptocurrency?

In order to reach the holdouts, we need to address their concerns about cryptocurrency. There are several points of resistance including a wariness of the use of cryptocurrency in crime, a concern about price volatility and a seeming lack of a valuation model. We can address these issues and communicate the strengths and opportunities of cryptocurrency by becomming very educated about cryptocurrency technology. Read articles about cryptocurrency, stay up to date on trends and show adopters the facts and studies showing a small percentage of transactions on the blockchain are illicit. Be a light in the darkness for those who are concerned and influenced by baseless criticism of cryptocurrency.

Another issue I have faced regarding cryptocurrency adoption is purchasing cryptocurrency. Coinbase is still not a household name, and many are confused about how to buy and move cryptocurrency around. You need to be there to hold their hand through the process. Most people struggle with new systems and technology, and I was in the same boat when I started. I learned about blockchain, cryptocurrency and the inner workings with no one to guide me, but my enthusiasm helped me through it. I then sat down with interested people who were still unsure, guided them through the process on my laptop and provided support when they called and texted me. We need to be cryptocurrency mentors. Those people are now enthusiastic and dedicated cryptocurrency users with knowledge that in some cases eclipses mine.

To sum it up, we are early adopters of the amazing and progressive technology that is cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. We have joined millions who believed there is a better way to do money, and we need to share it.
