So it has been a while since I wrote anything here on leofinance and for valid reasons, one of which is that I got bored.
I got bored of the hype around crypto; I got bored of shilling; I got bored of the bickering over crypto projects; I got bored of the politics. So I decided to take a break and channel my energy elsewhere.
However, I stumbled upon a series of tweets between Elon Musk and a couple of people regarding bitcoin. Ever since I saw the tweet about dodge being a possible option for tesla I know Elon had an agenda. And we see that play out in the last couple of days.
One of the most powerful individuals on the planet with access to limitless resources and information comes on a social platform to tell the world he wasn't aware of bitcoin's energy consumption after purchasing billions of dollars worth of it. I am not the smartest person in the room but I will never buy that bullshit.
Unfortunately, Elon has so much influence over the market. We put him on that pedestal and he is power-drunk at this point.
If there are any positives from this saga, one of them would be that he has not ruled out crypto. And just maybe with the push for dodge supremacy, more people will move towards altcoins.
I stopped worrying about the price of any coin once my portfolio crossed $2000. My focus has been to build multiple streams of income and support the projects I believe in. At the end of the day, crypto cannot die at this point.
I have never had huge expectations when it comes to crypto. This is why I am hardly disappointed. I do understand its potential but I think we are still years away from the future I envision which gives everyone here the unique opportunity to build.
It doesn't matter what you are building at this point. It might be a small community of crypto enthusiasts, gamers, bloggers, developers, etc. What matters at this point is that people are utilizing this technology and not purely speculating.
Crypto is part of my daily life. Few parts of my life are not crypto-related. The crypto sphere is one of the most accommodating industries. I often tell people that I started with nothing but I am still here today and my whole life has not been in vain.
Focus on the technology and not the money. I know it is hard and I will not try to bullshit anyone. However, when things are down like this you need to ask yourself the reason why crypto matters?
For me, being able to grow financially outside the traditional system. Just being able to have money that no one controls is mind-blowing to me. I can move anywhere in the world and still have access to any money without having to go through the bank. That is power.
I don't really know where the ball is rolling at this point but I think everyone here at this point building or supporting things being built are set for life in the long run. This much I believe.
This is all for my crypto rant. Cheers!
