Polish city becomes first to adopt Ethereum blockchain for emergency services

Olsztyn, Poland reportedly became the first city in the world to take advantage of the Ethereum blockchain for emergency relief, offering another viable use case for distributed ledger technology.

It completed a successful test of SmartKey, a bridge technology that links blockchain to physical assets to help police, fire and ambulance services.

The use of blockchain and SmartKey technology seems to be the right solution, providing confidence for owners and residents of buildings, as well as freedom for our emergency services. "
