I write this article because of three things. One, to know if we are to leave steemit.com or not. Two, to know if the decision is right, especially for those that rely on the platform as a source of revenue. And three, the reason @Justinsunsteemit won't fail steemit.
To Know If We Are to Leave Steemit.com
I read an article just now, the article suggests if we, steemians, really want to save the steem community, we should all leave steemit.com as soon as possible. Because, steemit.com doesn't belong to steem anymore, but Tron blockchain owns it now.
He said steem is the blockchain and there are other apps on the steem blockchain that can replace steemit.com. And if we continue to use steemit.com, we promote Tron community and devalue steem community. He mentioned some other apps on steem blockchain that could be used instead of steemit.com, Steempeak.com, eSteem.app, and Busy.org
@anararchy @aggroed and co, let us know if you support this proposition or not. Because you guys are the ones we trust here, as this particular information may be a divergence to ruin this amicable community, less savvy members like us don't even know it.
However, irrespective of your concerns on this, I have few things to notify you guys and other steemians.
I assume it doesn't make any sense at all if that message happens to be true.
One, why didn't you guys told us earlier that this is the right approach? At least, it is about twenty days or so since @justinsunsteemit came up with this whole movie. Why are we getting to know this now? It is too far from early.
Two, even if this guy @lukestokes just passed very wrong information on how to save the steem community, why on earth is the article still getting upvotes? At least, it should have been flagged and buried up by now. Because I saw some comment push that he has paid to pass the message across.
Three, even if the information is truly wrong, the reason he could have been so confident with such motive works on steemit is that you guys don't educate much of your people as you should, no offence pls, I have my reasons.
Understand that common people don't understand what you publish on your blogs. At least, many people would consent to the fact that there is a lot of centralization in the narrative with which you guys address the world. Make your words common so that common people may understand the platform, because only then could steem community be as common as Twitter. If you don't communicate with common words, common spammers and common middlemen that do so, we continue to be a big drawback to the advancement of this platform.
##To Know If the Decision To Leave Steemit.com Is Right##
If this information really means we should get out of steemit and start using other apps on the steem blockchain, although, it sounds logical, it is unfair and unworthy. Because of a few reasons.
One, understand that content developers are the real reasons many people come here to view contents. But, developers may find it difficult to move other platforms you propose, and if those guys don't go there, social users like us can't leave this place. Don't expect content developers to sacrifice their past works and hard-earn influence on this platform and start over again. Imagine hundreds and thousands of followers, where should they start from.
I understand the core of decentralization is putting the community. But, we don't have to scold the creators that refuse to leave steemit.com for a few reasons. One, some of them take the platform as their source of living, you can't tell them to throw the platform away. Two, Ned Scott and his team gave up the platform to Tron, not the creators, I assume the team rationally thought it was the best option.
I beg you, don't scold people that refuse to leave steemit.com.
Reason Justin Sun Won't Fail Steemit.com
Developers said they were sad and tired about steemit, so they resigned. Personally, I assumed that was a play, like a revenge move on @justinsunsteemit. And of course, it was fair. Because that implies that if Sun wants to make profit with this platform, he has to do one thing, ensures the platform beats competitive apps, especially steempeak.com To me, it has been a win-win deal all along.
Hii,
I are not Savvy much about Steemit but recent events got me spending time reading posts and stuff.
I support the view to boycott Steemit.com.
It's also about weather you care about Centralisation issue. I don't say Steemit did not have centralisation may have had but it has some decentralisation structure of what i understand.
Like we vote for witnesses and they control the blockchain as in a delegated proof of work mechanism, I hope you are aware of what Justin Sun did removing those community voted witnesses.
Even then Steemit.com inferface sucks, I use busy and steempeak even before all this happened.
Also, maybe you should find out some guys posting right news with links, may help.
I think @phgnomo gives good updates on this.
There is definitely a fight where Steem community is not happy with Justin Sun's actions, and it looks like war, let'ss wait and watch. I don't like Justin Sun, coz I followed him when I believed in Tron, many of his actions cause centralisation issues, everywhere, so I can't support Steemit.com anyway.
It's your personal choice, no one is right or wrong but community ceated and owned, support platforms are just unique... and I think whatever platform you use, you post in Steem blockchain, so you won't lose anything...
You can earn income posting posts in https://www.publish0x.com/ too...in BAt crypto, maybe it may be useful to you.

I found steemit interface very simple and it's loading so much faster than steempeak. Especially with recent "upgrades" - it does look very neat and I actually prefer using steemit.com than any other front-end right now.

If you agree or not that depends mostly on what you care about.
The thing about Steemit.com is that it isn't built by the community, and it is owned by Tron now.
If you don't like what Tron is doing, don't use Steemit.com
If you don't care about what tron is doing, or thing they are doing something good, go ahead and support it.
I don't think there is right or wrong, but actions that reflect what you think about this situation.
Me, personally, i always thought Steemit.com interface is bad. Not user-friendly and ugly.
That's the main reason i use steempeak.com and @esteem.
But the Tron take over just made me like more to use these front ends.

Interesting choice of topic @realabanikanda. Welcome within project.hope community :)
ps. did you consider powering up little bit? 14SP will not allow you to be active on Steemit.

Dear @realabanikanda
Interesting choice of topic.
I value @lukestokes, however it's hard not to have impression that he is blindly supporting group of witnesses in their fight with Justin - and are promoting narrative "us versus him". Which doesnt serve anyone.
Some people are trying to underline that steem and steemit isn't the same. However one cannot exist without the other. And it's simple as that. Saying that "if you care about steem, stop using steemit.com" is ridiculous. It's like saying to those who are using this front end, that they are against steem blockchain.
What a nonsense. I absolutely hate the fact, that even now so many users here are pushing community into conflict with major stakeholder. It cannot end up well.
Can you (or anyone else) imagine any project being succesful, where community is in constant fight with major investor? What if we will finally push him against the wall and he will decide that purchasing steemit has been the worst investment ever and he will decide to cut loses. This can only end up badly if mature dialog will not be established.
Upvoted already, enjoy your weekend,
Yours, Piotr
