I started using rental 3 weeks back and this is something that I never tried in the game. I have been playing the battles since the beginning in splinterlands and I was happy. It's because I had enough time to play and for me, it was more of fun and entertainment rather than earning. Although I wanted to try rental after the SPS token launch because at that time the rental earnings were so high but I did not do because of the points reduction for the SPS airdrop. I did not want my daily SPS airdrop to reduce and this is the reason why I did go for the rental. SPS airdrop ended in the last week of July and in mid of Aug, I thought of trying.
I think that it's not easy to rent out cards one by one and that too manually but if you have time then you can do this. Maybe you earn better this way but I never tried. I got to know about https://splex.gg/ which makes card renting super easy. We just need to set up the account once and that's all. It will do everything that is required and you can keep on earning DEC tokens. They charge a 10% commission for the service which I think is fair because this helps us to save lots of time.
My 3 weeks Rental Earning
When I started renting for my account at that time I had approx 240K DEC tokens and now I have 277k tokens in total. It's been 3 weeks and I am able to approx 37k DEC which is really good. I am sure that I can not earn this much DEC by playing the game. But again it's a game and sometimes we get awesome rewards in daily focus or season. There is no need to compare the reward but whatever I have earned is making me happy. I will be using these earnings to buy more cards to make my deck even more valuable. I invested a good amount to upgrade all my summoners last month and now I am going to focus more on the monsters. Now I hold most of the summoners from chaos legion in level 6 but monsters cards are still not there so next is the plan to upgrade my monster cards.
Renting Strategy
My schedule has been busy these days and because of this, I am not getting time to play more battles so I will continue to use the rental service. This is good for me now and later if I get time then I may think of playing again and by that my cards will also be upgraded. As of now, I will also continue to use splex but I am also exploring the peakmonser portal. I see lots of people using it but I am not familiar however I will see if I can for manual renting. It's always good to explore all the available options and choose the best that we think.
There are 2 ways that we can follow with splinterlands to earn a reward. First- we can play the battles and earn daily rewards as well as season-end rewards. This is definitely a good option to go for if you have time. The second is rental and this is good for those who are not able to play the game daily. Sometimes we get legendary cards as a reward and that can not be matched with rental earnings. So it's up to you how you want to proceed as per your preference. I will continue to share more about my rental earnings while I also try different ways to learn and even enhance my reward in the game. Learning new things in the game is always better and I like doing this.
Thank you so much
