When it comes to genetic modification, we have been able to cross pollination where one male gamete is fused with a female parent to produce the desired fruit. But why have most people opposed the concept of Genetically Modified Organisms especially in agriculture?
Although in the past, we have been rather good at picking male and female candidates, this selection was hard to perform as we had not reached a stage where genetic modification was possible. However, genetic modification now enables us to focus on desirable genes that can be used for improvement purposes, particularly in regards to creating a new offspring. This seems to be a point of controversy for people, especially when it comes to ethical considerations. Many people use the phrase “It is not normal” and the question that arises after this is what is normal?
In days gone by, it was quite common to cross two or more seeds in order to produce a superior obtained without the need for the toolbox that genetic modification was. Such logic has its flaws; why would one want to connect genes that they don't want? Apparently, the answer that most people do come up with is rather embarrassing. Judging by such comments, it is clear that the person doesn't care that two or more genes were cross bred in order to produce the desired result, rather the issue they have is that the genes are genetically modified.
It is quite evident that if we obtain whatever results we require, such as the case with Golden Rice, which is a variant of rice genetically modified to have some beta-carotene and thus helps people suffering from vitamin A deficiency, then GMOs are not a problem. However, when genetic modification is performed on animals for the sake of making a plant's survival easier, it can be a serious problem because we are not accustomed to this at the present.
People often depict ludicrous things such as a genetically modified chicken with the genetic material of a lion. When people mention their concerns with GMOs, they mean the ones that put their lives in danger first and then third and or second those that take a toll on their surroundings for example. So if I may ask you, what are your concerns with GMOs or GEOs for that matter. Speaking of which would you care to share your views on GMOs in particular and on GEOs?

That is the issue, people always believe genetic modified organisms might be dangerous
