What is what we really are?
Many times I have asked myself this question based on the fact that sometimes we have to be what we don't want to be, however what we really are is not something we can boast about.
What we really are is an accumulation of consequences that happen in our life, the way we have been raised and educated by our family, the wounds and stumbles we have gone through, the successes we have achieved, even we cannot leave aside the genetics we inherited from our parents.
We are what we are because we have decided to be so, because although culturally society also contributes a grain of sand to mold us in the sense of being the way we are, there comes a point where we end up being autonomous when it comes to choosing the individual we want to be.
When we are certain that all the existing variables have influenced who we are, everything becomes a stage where the positive things that happen to us will depend on our acceptance of the way we are, always with the availability of only wanting to change for the better.
We should not want to change just because someone else tells us to change, but we must be convinced that the changes to be taken into account will make us change for the better.

I believe that the secret of living is not only in accepting ourselves as we are, but we have to end up loving the way we really are, because in the end we are the product of a set of circumstances and learning that were molding our own self.
You have used the title very well today, we have to remain the way we are.
