Elon Musk has a plan to place satellites in space in orbit around the earth providing everyone on earth WiFi to connect to the internet. The concept of building satellites to beam the internet all over the world for free or greatly reduced prices is neither new or original, but a very practical solution to a global problem. We have arrived at a point in time that such technology, if connected to the Lightening Network would literally mean everyone on the planet could use Bitcoin not just as a universal store of value, but also a uniform unit of exchange.

As you can see, BLOCKSTREAM has several technological achievements in the blockchain space, and their greatest skill is in developing side chains.
