Simplify Your Goals

Many of us fail to simplify our goals, and unknowingly we stopped taking charge of our life. Simplify our goals in this context, is setting realistic goals, that can be attainable. When setting goals, you have to real and true to yourself. Is this goal attainable? If Yes, then set as your goal. I know we are meant to dream beyond our imagination. Yes, it is okay to dream big, but it is not okay to set unattainable goals. You might have a big dream that you are pursuing, if you head straight for it, you might lose it. You need to set smaller goals that will lead you towards your big goals. These small goals are like steps(small goals) you take before opening the door(big goals) at the top floor. Imagine a child dreaming he wants to become an(a) Engineer or Doctor or Accountant or Lawyer, can he/she head straight to an office and tell them, he wants to become a lawyer and they should give him a case. No, he would have to school to nursery school, primary school, high school and then University.

Those are the steps you have to take before you can become a profession in your chosen career. Same thing applies to life and your goals, you need to have small goals that will lead you towards your big goal. Let's go back to the child again, imagine if the wanted to become a lawyer but didn't plan on going to school, he/she will be frustrated and angry at world, because he/she will never attain such goal. Same thing applies to your goals, if you don't set small goals, because you want to attain the unrealistic goal, you will feel frustrated and angry at world for not attaining your goal, which may result to you, following the wind, hence, not taking charge of your life. But whereas if your goals are attainable, it will be motivating you and you will have a purpose in life, hence, you are taking charge of your life. It's better to have one realistic goal than having more than a hundred unrealistic goals.
