Some of you might remember an article I wrote last week in which I mentioned curiosity, and also how I ended up purchasing pheasant in the store due to reading a book with my kids named Danny, The Champion of the World (written by Roald Dahl). It was a great children's book, and in it, the father and his son Danny, are stealing pheasants from the property of a quite evil man. And guess what they did with the pheasants? They ate them! :)
I believe curiosity is of great importance if you want to grow in this world and if you want to achieve success. It might not deal exactly with the pheasant, but I thought the best way to finish the story of the book and also create a memory with the kids was to buy an actual pheasant and eat it.

I am not exactly sure what the pheasant looked like, but when we bought it in the store, it looked almost exactly like a chicken. That is why it felt strange paying 6 times more, but I felt like it was worth it... to create a memory, and to also discover if it is actually worth 6 times the price of a chicken!
Time for Pheasant soup!
I didn't make the pheasant soup myself, I only paid for it. But, I was there by the table as we ate the soup, which is supposed to be the best way to actually eat the pheasant (since the meat is quite dry).
The soup was prepared with lots of vegetables, and it was cooking for several hours in order for the meat to turn tender and so that it could be removed easily from the bones!
I had great expectations, and I don't regret spending approximately $20 on my pheasant. To be honest, the soup in itself was nice, but I would much rather eat chicken soup six times than the pheasant soup once. It was an experience to remember, and I feel like my curiosity led me to a new experience that makes me richer (not speaking of my wallet), due to learning and discovering something new in the world.
I believe this is crucial if you want to grow and want to be happy in life. Dare to take new chances, taste something new, write about something you haven't written about before, watch a movie you wouldn't normally watch, and dare to take steps that sound dangerous, boring, or maybe risky to you!
The worst thing that can happen is a failure (in a way that is how I feel about the pheasant soup), but I am standing (sitting) with no regrets at all. I am so happy that I actually got to taste it.
So, keep it up Project Hope friends, go do something new, and enjoy life to the max!
Certainly, curiosity can lead us to know and learn new and rich experiences. They say that there is no worse failure than not trying. There is a phrase that says "curiosity killed the cat" thus inviting people not to carry out their expectations and remain static for fear of being wrong, this is in my opinion a mistake. Children are the best example of curiosity, they observe and touch everything, they ask spontaneous questions and in this way they live each day to the fullest, we can learn a lot from them. Thank you for showing us your experience.

In this case, curiosity killed the pheasant, but in a way, that is a natural order of nature, so I don't feel guilty about that. We need wisdom, learn from our mistakes, and dare to take new steps and to remain curious! :) Thanks for dropping by!

Hi @unbiasedwriter
Twenty bucks for a pheasant? wow, that's expensive. But at least you were able to do it and get it out of the way.
Daring to do new things, writing about a new topic, are things that not everyone ventures into, but it can always leave a great knowledge, regardless of whether it turns out so well or not.

It was really expensive, especially considering the size of it (which was really tiny), and that a chicken costing only 1/6 of the price actually contains more meat and is easier to eat. But, it was worth it still! :)
