Dakota and Elle Fanning List Cape Cod–Style Home
The Fanning sisters are slimming down their real estate portfolio. According to Variety, Dakota and Elle Fanning recently listed their Cape Cod–style home in the Valley Village area of the San Fernando Valley, just about three years after they purchased it through a trust for $2.3 million. The six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home is currently on the market for $2.7 million.
Situated at the end of a private, gated driveway, the house, which spans 4,550 square feet, is stately and classic, with white rosebushes lining the walkway up to the front door. A double-height front entrance hall is brightly sunlit thanks to abundant picture windows. The formal living room features a fireplace with a marble mantle and opens out onto the front porch through a set of French doors. The formal dining room boasts dollhouse-like baby blue brocade-patterned wallpaper and a delicate chandelier. In the kitchen, there is a mammoth-size center island and all-white cabinetry. The first floor is also home to a breakfast nook, a family room with coffered ceilings, and one of the six bedrooms.
