Assalam-ul-kum (Hello) every one!
This is my entry in cultural photography contest by @janemorane so lets start describing the attire
Pakol or Chitrali Cap:
The word Pakol is a chitrali word derived from another chitrali name of the hat Khapol. The Pakol is made from a special type of wool known as the Chitrali patti which is procured from the sheepherders from its valleys, and worn like a beret on head by Pashtuns and chitrali family mostly in winter season.
Chadar/shawl:
The style and colour of chadar varies from region to region, but typically it is a white shawl. It is worn to protect one’s body from cold in winters and also as a cultural on different special occasion.
I invite my friends to participate in this contest.
