Contest "Fountains-2022" - Week #7

Hello @steemitcontest community, as you are happy to participate another week in this contest, in this opportunity I bring you a deeper study of the fountain located in _la casa de gobierno_ very similar to the one located in _la casa del Congreso de Angostura_.

And it is constantly repainted, repaired and maintained in excellent conditions due to the amount of political figures of the world that constantly visit these facilities.

As you can see, it is surrounded by palms and a labyrinth of Ixora plants, a beauty without a doubt, the pride of all the citizens of my city.

Formerly known as Angostura, for being in one of the places where the "superb Orinoco" is the narrowest, it was the site of several battles and one of the first areas of the country to be liberated from the Spanish during the independence. Angostura was named in 1818, by Simón Bolívar, provisional capital of the republic and it is there where the liberator gave the famous "Angostura Speech", on February 15, 1819, in which he renounced the absolute powers that had been granted to him and gave his vision of how the new republic that was being initiated should be.

In this house, which was formerly a school, is where the Congress of Angostura was held on February 15, 1819 and where Bolivar gave his famous inaugural speech. It can be visited.
