Hello, great warriors of Splinterlands, I hope you all are doing good and enjoying your day. Today I am again here sharing my new entry for the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge "New Promo Card Battles
" which is offered by @splinterlands. I selected a Range Attack promo card named Sanctus Vicor
that I rented for 2 days from the rental market to participate in this challenge. You can also participate in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
About Sanctus Vicar Promo Card:
Sanctus Vicar
is a Promo edition Rare dual element(Fire & Water) range attack monster that costs 6 mana and has one ability Cleanse Rearguard
at level 1. It does -2 range attack, has 1 armor, and 4 health at level 1. Dual-element monsters are those that can be used under 2 element summoners like this card can be used in both Fire and Water Splinter summoners.

Battle Ruleset:
There were three battle rulesets Armored Up, Going the Distance, and Up to Eleven in this battle. The allowed mana cap was
14
and only Death Splinter was inactive in this battle.Battle Summoner
I chose the Dragon Splinter for this battle, and in the Dragon Splinter summoners, I selected
QUIX THE DEVIOUS
as a Summoner for this battle, which is a Chaos Legion edition Legendary Dragon Splinter Summoner. It costs 4
mana and has two abilities(-1 range and -1 speed) of the enemy team. I used this summoner because of its abilities and also I have upgraded it to level 4 under which I can use up to level 5 common cards. It's a Dragon Splinter summoner so under this summoner I chose the Fire Splinter monsters to use the Sanctus Vicor promo card and participate in the Challenge.
1. Naga Assassin:
In the first position, I used the
Naga Assassin
which is a reward edition Rare Range attack monster from the Dragon Splinter. It costs 2
mana, does a -1 range attack, and has no ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 4 in which its range attack increases from -1 to -2 and also it gains the BackFire
ability. I used it in the first position because of its Backfire
ability and also because it has a high Speed so it will have a high missing chance and the missing attack will go back to the attacker. Currently, I have this monster at level 4 and it works fine for me.
2. Sanctus Vicar:
In the second position, I used the theme of challenge
Sanctus Vicar
which is a promo edition rare Range attack monster from the Dual Splinters Fire and Water. It costs 6
mana, does a -2 range attack, and has a Cleanse Rearguard
ability at level 1. I used it in this battle and in the second position to participate in the weekly challenge. The mana of this battle was less so with this monster I only accommodated the other 2 monsters with 2 mana.
3. Kha'zi Conjurer:
In the third position, I used the
Kha'zi Conjurer
which is an Epic reward edition Range attack monster from the Fire Splinter. It costs 2
mana, does a -4 range attack, and has one ability Incendiary
at level 1. I used it in this battle and in the third position because when I selected the first 2 cards only 2 mana were remaining so I chose this card that would give -4 damage each round.
Battle Result:
You can see the result of my battle in the below screenshot, I have lost this battle and I didn't win any rewards.
Did your strategy work?
No, my strategy didn't work for me in this battle and I lost it because the mana was less and I used the monster at third position with Incendirary
ability that also damaged my other monster's health.
