My besties

Hello Steemian.. How are you guys today? May you stay healthy and happy. Greetings from me, @lianaayuliana. I am from Indonesia.

This is a very exciting opportunity to be able to participate in this contest. The theme of this contest is very nice and interesting. Thank you to @alsarzilsiam for making this brilliant idea.

MY BEST FRIENDS

Life might be bland without our best friends by our side. God sent them to make our lives more colorful for sure. I have five best friends in my life. They are Inong, Maria, Iryani, Ruhamah, and Nismi. We all attended the same school since Junior High School. That means we have known each other since 23 years ago when we were 12 years old. We were in different classes at the time.

Three years later we went to the same school again. Namely Islamic Senior High School No. 1 Takengon. Here we are all in the same class. This is where our friendship grows stronger. We do have different characters but we cultivate a sense of mutual understanding. Maybe that's what makes us feel compatible and want to always be together. Therefore our days are getting more exciting. Break time is an unforgettable moment. We have a special hangout behind the school. Have fun together there. Telling funny things and doing a little mischief in our youth.

Not only at school, after school we will also gather again outside school. In the past, every Sunday we went on adventures to different places. We went to the lake for picnics, hiked mountains, helped our friends in their gardens, went for an afternoon walk together, or just hung out somewhere. We like to take turns staying at each other's house. If we had spent the night together, we would have stayed up all night, sharing stories about anything, sharing secrets with each other. We share joys and sorrows. Our parents also know each other because of our friendship.

In 2003, we graduated from our school. A very touching farewell. We have captured many photos. But in that year there were no cellphones in use in our area. All photos are still taken with manual cameras or old cameras. Therefore I can't show our photos to all of our Steemian friends. After the farewell party, we all struggled to achieve our respective dreams. We studied at different universities. Being in a different city. But when we were off from college and went home. We always hold reunions and tell each other about each other's experiences.

In 2007 we all graduated from college, and returned to our village. Some have become teachers, lecturers, and civil servants. We always hang out and play together.

I am very grateful that our friendship can last until now. We first met in 1997 until now in 2021. We are no longer young, and we are all married. All have been blessed with cute children. But we still don't forget each other. Moreover, nowadays it is not like it used to be. Communication is very easy to build through social media. Even though we are busy with our respective families. But we can still stay in touch through social media. We even have a WhatsApp group for our friendship. We still take the time to joke and share stories in the group. We still visit each other.
