While everything thing concerning football is on hold at the moment, it great to feed our minds with some fun and exciting contents. A lot has happened so far this season and if not for the unfortunate situation currently, we would be rounding up this 2019/2020 season. This premier league season, in particular, has been an exciting one but yet a very difficult one for almost all the teams except for Liverpool who clearly stood out from the rest. So sad that this whole problem had to come now that they were almost close to making history by winning their first premier league title. However, we hope that things return to normal very soon.
Our focus today will be on Chelsea as they are also a team that have drawn a lot of attention this season. from Frank Lampard taking charge as the manager of the team, to their series of ups and downs, to their stay in the top 4 after been written off at the start of the season. As far as the fans are concerned, the team has done pretty well considering all the factors that were against them this season like their numerous injuries to key players and also Frank Lampard first time managing a top side and in the premier league. So far, Chelsea have done really well and from most of the games they’ve played this season, we can clearly see that with a few quality signing added to the squad, they can be a force next season.
With this, I think a lot of fans are expecting Chelsea to challenge for the title next season, or at least challenge for the top 3 spots. They’ve already added Hakim Ziyech, and from the reports flying around recently, they are also looking at adding a few more top players to the team for next season. We already know that Chelsea have a really talented young side and with more quality and experienced players coming in, there is no reason not to expect them to be a strong force next season.
Their style of play and the way the attack means that if Lampard is able to complete the missing pieces of the puzzle for his system, Chelsea will most likely be a dangerous team to play against next season. To conclude, I will say the expectations from Chelsea next season should be to challenge for them to be in the title race or at least to be in the top 3 race.
