I love science fiction movies which are intelligently made. You might not expect lot of drama or action from Tom Cruise's movies but his movies are usually great entertainment. This was no exception.
The movie starts with apocalyptic world in future. Tom cruise is modernistic soldier and he has tough routine with her partner. He daily scouts the area for any intruders and secure parameters.
He reports back daily to central command which is currently in space. One day he encounter humans which were supposed to be extinct. He considers them to be threat but eventually captured by a group of rebels. They explain to him that he has been fed a lie his whole life.
He is currently living a life of illusion and controlled by Alien entities which dominated earth many years ago. Right now, they are just taking control of every region by brainwashed human like him.
This gets very complex for him and he has difficult time to grasp it all. He does finally break his rules and search out for truth. He decides to join this battle for freedom of earth.
He is given a chance to go back to mothership where it all originated and somehow manage to get a bomb inside. The ending was little bit twisting but overall it was awesome movie.
