I recently purchased several small bottles of mead from Apimed, a meadery in Slovakia. Each bottle is slightly different, but all are made from fermented honey.
First up is the Trnava variety, made from floral honey with herbs and spices added. It's a bit darker and heavier than other needs I've had. It wasn't really astringent at all, so it went down really smoothly. I thoroughly enjoyed this mead, and would buy it again. I'm quite interested in trying the other varieties I picked up as well.
