Seeing Off My Aunt at Allama Iqbal International Airport: A Day to Remember

Assalam O Alaikum

Friends, it was one of the most beautiful and memorable day of my life as on that day, my aunt is going to Makkah and Madina to perform Umrah which is the noble activity performed by the Muslims. Makkah and Madina both are the holy cities for Muslims located in Saudi Arabia. To go there, first of all, we need to have a visa and a ticket then we are eligible to visit these both cities to perform Umrah and Hajj.

So, before moving to the airport, we have cleared all the documents of our aunt to avoid any kind of discomfort and problem. That day, the time of the flight of my aunt was about 3: 00 AM and the airport was more than 100 kilometers away from us. As I'm living in Depalpur and the Allama Iqbal international airport is located in Lahore. So we booked a car (APV) and started our journey towards the airport.

We started our journey in the night as we decided we reach there about 3 hours before the take off her flight. This is because, it is rule by the PIA the passengers must be there about two hours before the take off their flights, as that time taken by the staff in checking their documents, luggage and other things. So we reached there right according to our plan.

When we reached there, we saw a large number of people were gathered there as some of them were saying goodbye and some are welcoming their beloved ones. As, the international and domestic flight flight are arrive and take off from that airport. This is because, the Allama Iqbal international airport is one of largest airports in Pakistan. After that, my aunt said goodbye to us and entered in the room for security check up.

After seeing off to her, we decided to explore the airport as I have visited it for the first time. I was with my cousins and the family of aunt along with her husband, sons and daughters as well. They all were very excited to see the airport. Indeed, the airport was very vast along with high security and high standard facilities provided to the people of both domestic and international flights.

Seeing good bye to us wasn't easy for her as she has a 5 years old son who wasn't traveling with her. But on the other hand, she was very excited to be there in Madina and Makkah because it is the dream of every Muslim to visit these cities in order to perform Umrah and Hajj. She told us that, with the excitement of going Saudi Arabia I forget everything.

Indeed, it was a wonderful experience for me as I have visited the airport first, explore it, saw new people and the beauty of Lahore city which is among the most beautiful cities of Pakistan and in the whole world as well. We were there till the take off my auntie's flight and we waited for her in the waiting area because it wasn't allowed to go towards the run way and inside the airplanes area.

Travel cost was about 15000 RS which was about 300 Steem. It is including the food and the rent of car.
