Three square meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) provides us with a balanced nutrition which helps humans' meet their nutritional requirements in order to avoid overloading one meal or overfeeding. Portioning different meals in a day also helps in steady supply of energy, regulations of metabolism / blood sugar levels, improves our mood ( the brain function) and also support physical activities.

Being that we are familiar with those benefits of food listed above, I will share my food diary for 22nd of November 2024 for the three square meals of the day;

Breakfast: Beans and plantain
Lunch: Tea and bread
Dinner: Fruits ( apple and watermelon)

Breakfast: Beans and plantain

Skipping breakfast is like missing a treasure in the ocean that cannot be recovered. Breakfast fuels, lighten up and control our mood for the day. Breakfast is the easiest meal for me to plan, waking up, I already figured out what to prepare so I went to the kitchen to boil ripe plantain to accompany the leftover jollof beans at home.

When the plantain was well cooked, I served it with jollof beans and it was delicious as seen.

Lunch: Tea and Bread

At noon, I was extremely busy with work and couldn't sacrifice 10 minutes of my time to cook a fresh meal so I decided to just boil a cup of water for tea. I mixed chocolate and milk in a warm water and ate with few slices of bread. It was satisfying and faster to prepare.

Dinner: Watermelon and Apple

After having lunch at noon, I stepped out for hair delivery and purchasing of hair tools for my business. I was exhausted from those activities so I decided to purchase fruits on my way home. Reaching home, I wasn't hungry for heavy foods so I took fruits for dinner ( apple and watermelon).
