The Diary Game | 04/02/2025 | Perform Duty As a Team Leader To Protect Our Child From Polio Disease

I hope everyone is well and enjoying their lives. Today I am going to present to you my three days of activities. These are the three days that we have dedicated to saving the children of Pakistan and getting rid of the dreaded disease like polio.

A polio campaign is going on all over Pakistan in which all the people are actively participating. All the people who are part of this campaign are part of this campaign. I am part of this campaign in such a way that first of all, before the campaign starts, I have to complete all the computer work and then I have to take a printout of all the instructions that are to be used during this campaign and deliver them to all the workers. In addition, I have to go from my main office and take the vaccine we have to use in the entire campaign. In addition, when the campaign starts, there is a transit point called Harappa Station. My duty is there. I administer polio drops to all the children who come there along with my other team members. We have to reach our transit point at 8 am, so we take our vaccines so that we don't get there late.

We first go to our nearest BHU hospital in the morning from where we have to collect our vaccine and all the things and reach our transit point. From here we have to get the vaccine from our UCMO and we put this vaccine in the vaccine carrier and put an ice pack and then we have to reach our transit point. So I reached my hospital, got all the things from there, and reached the transit point with my team member.

After reaching our transit point, the first thing we do is to put up a banner with some words about polio written on it. This is just to attract people's attention so that they know that a polio team is here and that they must give their children two drops of polio vaccine. So they went and we put up the banner first.

After putting up the banner there, our second task is to open the vaccine vials we have and put a dropper on them so that when the child comes, they can be made to stand in direct shade and the vaccine can be administered. This is to prevent the child from standing next to us and we are putting on the dropper. After putting it on, we then have to fill out our stylesheets. On it, we have to write our name, address, date, and everything. At the bottom, we have to write the vaccine that we received that day.

After that, the security people come to us. They have to take a picture with us and send it to their main group so that they know that they have reached their security. They are with us because some parents do not give their children polio drops at the transit point. After all, they are afraid that this is a team that will put our children in danger.

This is the transit point where all the surrounding buses, wagons, rickshaws, etc. stop and the vehicles get on and off from here, so there is a lot of rush here and we have to struggle to cover all the children. There are four of us at this point, two on one side, two on the other side, and together we administer polio to all the children on the way in a five-day campaign.

During this polio campaign, we eat our lunch in pairs, one from this side and one from the other side, and then we go somewhere together to eat. Similarly, during this time, we enjoyed various foods, including our favorite biryani, along with our favorite sweet potato chaat samosas, etc. We have been eating them during this time.

During this time, we have enjoyed many other things so that we can eat to our full and perform our duties together. We used to eat in pairs so that we would not all go to eat and some children would be left behind.

In this five-day campaign of ours, all the officers come to check on us whether we are doing our work properly or not. First of all, our Area in charge goes here. He makes two rounds a day and asks us if there are any problems and how the work is going. He checks our work and signs our sheets. Then after that, our UCMO comes. He also comes twice a day checks our sheets and reviews our work.

These were two people who were our officers and belonged to our council. Apart from this, we also check the district-level officers. They also come from time to time and they have to check all the councils. Therefore, when they come, they must check our council. During this time, we had two officers, one was our DDHO and the other was our Mrs. Mehwish, who reviewed our work and appreciated us because our work was going very well.

Our duty ends at 4 pm. At that time, we get our report written by our area in-charge. He makes a form and collects the data of all the teams there and writes it down. After that, all those area charges report to their UCMO and the UCMO also makes a form for them and records the reports of all the people. In this way, they calculate their percentage and then our UCMO, after collecting all the reports, goes to his district-level officer and gets his report written there.

Since UCMO is my father, I have to work with him because it is my responsibility and I feel happy. To do his work, all the reports have to be done online on two to three applications, and apart from that, we also have to share this report in the WhatsApp group. After that, the report is physically given there is also a meeting. Therefore, I make all the reports together with my father and submit the data on these applications.

In this way, when all our reports are prepared, my father, who is our UCMO, takes the report to our main office, where he submits the report to his CEO and our AC, and in the meantime, I go home on my leave. It takes us about six o'clock to complete all this work, so my final off is at six o'clock.

Thus, we completed the three-day campaign and administered two drops of polio to all the children around us. The last two days are just for checking. During this time, we have to find those children who were missed in our three-day campaign. Therefore, we have to find them in these two days and administer two drops of polio to them and encourage them towards good health. So, we have tried our best to make all the children safe and give them a healthy life.
