My sunday started not too early for me, because I needed some more time to rest. With the sound of my alarm at 6:45am I was woke up. Despite the temptation to hit the snooze button, I got up and began my morning devotion, which always sets a positive tone for my day. After spending some quiet time reflecting and praying, I moved on to my 20-minute workout. This short exercise session not only energizes me but also helps keep me in good shape.

Instead of my regular Sunday church service preparation, I was on call duty. Knowing I had to be at work by 9:30am, with the help of my sister, I started preparing a hearty breakfast and lunch for my family. I decided to make fried rice, one of my family's favorite. I began by parboiling the rice, ensuring it was halfway cooked before draining the water. While the rice was cooling, I diced a variety of colorful vegetables – carrots, bell peppers, green beans, onions and peas- adding a burst of color and nutrients to the dish.

In a large pan, I sautéed onions, garlic, and ginger, then added the vegetables and rice, stirring everything together with some soy sauce and seasoning for flavor. The aroma filled the kitchen, and soon, a delicious meal was ready. I packed some fried rice into a lunch container for work and got ready to leave.

By 9:10am, I was out the door and heading to the hospital. The day was busy from the start. I attended to incoming patients, ensuring they received the necessary dietary consultations and advice. After that, I made my rounds in the ward, checking on new consults and following up with ongoing patients to assess their diet plans. It's always fulfilling to see improvements in their conditions and to provide the support they need.

At 2:30 pm, I finally had a moment to sit down and enjoy my lunch. The fried rice I prepared earlier tasted even better after a morning full of activity. After eating, I took a short break to rest and recharge before diving back into my duties. The afternoon was spent documenting patients' progress and making notes for further reviews, ensuring everything was in order for the next shift.

When I arrived home in the evening, I was greeted by the comforting familiarity of my house 😀 I took a warm bath to wash away the day’s fatigue, and then sat down to a simple yet satisfying dinner with my family.

After dinner, I played a video game with my kids, which was a fun and relaxing way to bond after a busy day. I also attended to some pending messages, catching up with friends and colleagues. Thereafter, I spent some time discussing the day with my hubby, sharing highlights and listening to his stories. By 9pm, I was ready for bed. I lay down, reflecting on the day’s events, grateful for the ability to balance my professional responsibilities with my family life.
