Hello friends!!! Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters!!!
Ramadan has gone… a month of blessings, prayers and fasting!!! And today… EID IS HERE!!! The joy, the hapiness, the exclusive feeling of Chand Raat—can never be described!!! When ever we witness Eid moon, the heart automatically screams, Hurrah!!! It’s a moment of pure joy!!!
My day began as early as in the morning with Eid Namaz!!! The calls for the Takbeerat rang out in the air, and hundreds of people overflowed into the Mosque. Each person sport their fresh clothes, smiling, and greeting each other!!! After the prayer, I gave hug to my family members one by one, feeling the love of this beautiful day!!!
The real fun of Eid??? Meeting relatives!!! I spent my whole day visiting unhappy family members!!! Wheresoever I went, I was met with sweets, chilled drinks, & delicious courses!!! While every home had Eid table loaded with an assortment of Eid sweets!!!

One person I cannot forget today is Mr. Amjad Ullah!!! Initially by profession a teacher but most of all he is a huge cook!!! Every eid he does something different!!! This time, he prepared a very minor sweet dish and that also made white meat!!!! The taste was just heavenly!!! Men enjoying cooking is hard to come by and yet he really enjoys it!!!
I SAW MY GRANDFATHER at 10:30 AM!!! Meeting Elders on Eid is a tradition and visiting him is always a special experience!!! He greeted me with a beautifully smile, and what more could I ask for…. Eidi!!! Haha!!! He also gave me so delicous homemade sweets, and we chatted :)
In the afternoon something UNEXPECTED occurred!!! My former school teacher called me!!! He had long since quit, but still keep up with him!!! He said, "I’m just 10 minutes away from your house!!! I’m coming to meet you!!!" That was such a wonderful surprise!!! We had a great conversation, remembering old school memories and laughing about the past!!!
Eid is truly a day of joy, love, and togetherness!!! Meeting family, sharing food, and receiving Eidi—what could be better??? My heart feels full of happiness today!!!
