Today I am looking forward to take part in this great event, the ‘Power Up’ contest of the Hindwhale Community that was started by @jyoti-thelight. This contest is part of HWC Contest #99: POWER UP & WIN - WEEK 63. Let's get started!

The amount of steems from your wallet must be used to perform a power-up.

As a member of Steemit platform, I have always remained very active thereby ensuring that I power up to increase my steem. These are the positive habit to which I stick so that I can stay productive, charging nearly 100% or at least 75% of the Steem that I gather in a week. This week, I charged 100 SP.

You must submit a thorough, screenshotted description of how you did it in order to be eligible.

I used my Steemit username to unlock the wallet.

I then searched the wallet section where there is a the ‘Steem’ button and I was able to find it. I moved the pointer over it and on the options which appeared above the window, I selected the ‘Power Up’.

In the power-up field of the specific amount, I filled up 100 Steem. Just to make sure that everything is correct I cross check the value, and in this case confirming that the power up was done with this specific value of quantity.

Later on I clicked on the OK button every time I was done with the entries and I was confident that all the particulars were correct.

I then used the Active key to navigate to the next step when I was through with the exercise I was doing. The need for authentication was well explained here and therefore this step was quite easy for me.

Besides, doing these outlined steps assisted me charge to power up, as was indicated above with no issue.

According to me, it is crucial to perform a power-up on Steemit for the following reasons. It strengthens your self-authority and your voice in the voting booth, and in doing so brings the ability to motivate others. It shows your interest in fostering the growth of the platform, and you receive favorable change to your visibility and performance whenever you stake your liquid Steem to Steem Power. However, power-ups have it that the regular ones have a profound effect on curation and the authors’ rewards and earnings. This contributes to the idea that being the one who is going out there and doing something, something that help the community have long term benefits.
