How I did my power-up
Step 1
First of all, I logged into the Steemit platform and clicked on the wallet. When I did that, I got this result as shown below

Step 2
I clicked on the arrow icon next to the stem and a small menu popped up and on the menu, I clicked on power up. See screenshot below

Step 3
When I clicked the power up, a new page came up titled: Convert to STEEM POWER. On the page, I clicked on the balance and the entire Steem balance of 30.503 moved to the amount. See screenshot below

Step 4
On the same page, I clicked on power up and a new page titled Confirm Transfer To Vesting came up and I clicked Ok. See the screenshot below.

Step 5
After clicking on Ok in step 4 a new page titled sign to complete transfer came up. I input my active password and click sign in. See the screenshot below.

Immediately after I clicked on the sign-in, all my Steem was converted to steam power. See prove below

These are the steps I took to power up my 30.503 Stem today.

MEANING OF POWER-UP
Powering up is the act of changing or converting liquid Steam to Steam power. Powering up Steem has benefits for the steemian and also affects or influences the Steem price

BENEFIT OR IMPORTANCE OF POWERING-UP
Some of the importance of powering-up are.

1. Powering up helps in building Steem's power: Any time a Steemian powers up his liquid Steem, his Steem power increases which also helps his reputation on Steemit to grow.

2. It makes you become a trusted Steemian. This shows that you did not join the community to just earn money and withdraw but to stay and also build relationships with other Steemians.

3. Powering up is an investment of steam: This is an investment because all the amount of steam that is powered up can be retrieved in the future at a higher price.

4. Powering up helps Stemian to move from one club to another: Powering up all liquid Steem earns in the first month of being in Steemit connects a Steemian to club5050. A steemian in club5050 moves to club75 and from club75 to club100 if the steemian consistently powers up all his liquid steam monthly without withdrawing in the first three months of joining the steemit community.

5. You earn more curation rewards.

6. Converting Steem to Steem power makes Steem scarce thereby influencing its price positively as there is demand.

7. Powering up Steem makes the value of one's vote increase.
