Dear college students
Recently, we have noticed that more and more college students are choosing to use shared bicycles to ride from Zhengzhou to Kaifeng. Although this mode of transportation is environmentally friendly and economical, considering the following points, we hereby issue an initiative to encourage everyone to carefully consider and reduce such behavior.
- Safety issues: Long distance cycling poses certain safety risks, especially on heavily trafficked major highways. In addition, the likelihood of accidents occurring during nighttime cycling has doubled.
- Health issues: Long term cycling may have adverse effects on physical health, especially for students who do not regularly engage in long-distance cycling exercise. Overwork may lead to muscle damage or other health problems.
- Bicycle maintenance: Long distance cycling causes significant wear and tear on shared bicycles, and there is a high risk of bicycle damage. Short term maintenance pressure is also high, which seriously affects the normal use of other users.
- Environmental impact: Although bicycles are a green mode of transportation, long-distance cycling may lead to more carbon emissions as it requires more energy to manufacture and maintain bicycles.
Based on the above considerations, we urge everyone to: - Try to choose public transportation such as trains or long-distance buses as they are safer, faster, and more comfortable.
- If it is necessary to ride, please make sure to be fully prepared, including checking the safety performance of the bicycle, carrying necessary equipment (such as helmets, water bottles, etc.), and ensuring that you have enough physical strength to complete the entire journey.
- Avoid cycling at night or in adverse weather conditions.
- Respect the usage rules of shared bicycles and do not ride them out of the service area to avoid inconvenience to operators and other users.
We understand that everyone pursues a convenient and environmentally friendly lifestyle, but we also urge everyone to pay more attention to personal safety and health when enjoying the convenience brought by shared bicycles. Let's work together to create a safer and healthier cycling environment.
Thank you all for your understanding and support!
