Hope you are fine and in good health and happiness!!

Let me ask you a question. What is the ultimate goal of being here in Steemit? Be stabilized or become a reputed steemian with more responsibilities, become more exposed and earn more rewards? So, ultimately to become successful in the platform. Isn't it? So, powering up and having more Steem Power plays an important part in that intention. It's the criteria that measure your success.

Earlier we had #spud4steem which we regularly power up on the 1st day of the month and win amazing prizes in delegations as well as votes. Anyway, it was paused and now we have the #club initiative to carry on the process. That much powering up is important for us and vice versa to the community. But sometimes, people forget this.

So, I express my gratitude to @jyoti-thelight for bringing up this contest.

In October 2020, #spud4steem I won the first delegation. That was the first boost of my journey. From that, I am continuously powering up whenever possible.

So, what is the importance of performing powerup?

• As we all know it's the amount of Steem Power we have. We convert liquid Steem into Steem Power and keep it as an investment. So, when we reach different milestones, there are names like dolphins, Orca, whales, etc. It's the prize you get for your commitment, hard work, and consistency in the platform.

• With the increase of your Steem Power, it increase our Voting value. So, we can vote for other users and appreciate good posts. Or we can delegate to good communities and strengthen them.

• We can get highlighted more which is helpful to increase our reputation.

• To earn more curation rewards.

• We can apply for certain positions like community curators/ representatives, as this shows our long-term interest in steem.

• And also, I believe in a great future and potential of Steem. So, this will be a nice investment as well.

• You can influence more on certain things like witness votes.

• And more importantly this is helpful for Steem coin to perform smoothly and for the stability of price as well.
