Hello to the community,
From the start of my Steemit journey, I understood the importance of Powering-up to be stable and to have a smooth future within the community.
Back in that time, I used to participate in each and every #spud4steem competition and be among the winners on several occasions. That gave the motivation and the regularity to my power-ups. So, it was nice of Jyoti-thelight to host this important contest weekly!! Let's get on board with the power-up.

As we already know during the power-up we are converting our Liquid Steem to Steem Power, and we have to wait a month to do the vise versa. So, what's the importance of it? That's the million-dollar question.
Well, the amount of Steem Power you have is one of the criteria that measure your success and reputation here. And it becomes very special if you build it up from the bottom. When I see the account is growing up, it makes me happy and motivated. It's what I receive for my years of hard work and commitment.
Apart from individual satisfaction, there are a number of ways that we can influence through the Steem Power. Higher the better. As you know, our voting power is proportional to the amount of SP in our account. So, we can help and appreciate quality content with the voting power we have. Otherwise, we can delegate to community curation accounts and self-sustain them. Either way, common users get the benefit overall.
Apart from that, personally, dolphin milestones open you to a number of opportunities. Especially when you apply for Steem Curators/ Representatives there's a lower limit we should have as it shows the commitment of the users to the platform.
And what do you think about the use of it on the platform? Rather than selling all the Steem, this will help the growth and stability of the platform. When the majority of the users are following it, there will be a good uptrend in the price of Steem as well. And overall, I believe Steemit is a long-term investment as well.

Wow! I never thought of this. It is so true, well, in my case.
Nothing gives me more satisfaction on Steemit than doing a power-up. They are like those valuable drops of water that fill a bucket.
