It's a pleasure once again to join this amazing and valuable contest, that helps us regularly to grow in Steemit. Thanks @jyoti-thelight for hosting the Power up contest.

Powering up is called as the converting of our liquid steem in the wallet to Steem Power. As you know 50% of our earnings come as Steem Power automatically. The other half can be powered up manually any amount according t your choice. The new initiative of Club status is also based on this scenario, considering the percentage we power up. So, let me do my process while explain the method.

• First go to your wallet and in the STEEM raw there's a dropdown arrow as you can see in the picture.

There's the power up option. Below I have shared the next steps of the process.

So, I know the problem in your mind is what's the use of this Steem Power.

I think you have seen many Steemians with high reputation, voting you and being highlighted more and very active in the community. If you see closely, they have a high amount of Steemit Power. It's because they are continuously powering up and growing their account. So, this is a main criteria of our commitment, success and growth in the community. Believe me, it is very satisfyingly to see you are growing from the bottom and achieving many dolphins.

Apart from that, higher the Steem Power you have we get a higher voting power and can support the quality post around. Otherwise we can delegate to the communities and build them, so many people have the benefits. And also, the higher the SP our influence on witness vote is higher.

And on individual corner, I think you have seen the minimum amount of SP is required to apply to be a community curator, steem representative or even a community moderator. It's because as I said it shows our commitment to the platform. So, by powering up you can achieve these targets.
