Greetings, friends! How are you all? I hope everything is going well. So, let’s begin today’s diary.

Distribute food to the needy

Today, when I woke up in the morning, I saw that my niece Aishni was getting ready to go to school. Her mother was making food in the kitchen. I went to the kitchen and asked my sister-in-law for lukewarm water.

After a while, my sister-in-law gave me slightly warm water, and I drank it. Meanwhile, my brother was also getting ready to drop Aishni to school. I told my brother that I would come along to drop Aishni at her school. So, the three of us went to Aishni’s school. Her school is only 2 km away, so it doesn’t take much time.

Prayer Time

When we reached the school, all the little children were playing together. Aishni also said goodbye to us and went into the school. Just then, it was time for prayer in the school, and my brother stayed for a while to watch the children pray in their playful manner. After a little while, we left the school and headed back home.

Making Delicious Kheer

When we reached home, I saw that my parents were preparing to go to the Hanuman temple in the evening. We had planned last night that we would visit the Hanuman temple today, offer prayers, and feed the needy as prasad.

Kheer is ready now

So, after returning home and freshening up, my father brought 20 liters of milk from the market, and my mother gathered all the ingredients to make kheer. I then went downstairs to bring the full gas cylinder up to the kitchen where the kheer was going to be made.

After setting up the gas stove, we were ready to make the kheer. First, we poured all the milk into a big pot and placed it on the gas stove to heat. After a while, the milk was warm, and we added rice, dry fruits, and sugar. After some time, our kheer was ready.

Then, we all started preparing to go to the temple at around 6 PM. We packed the pot of kheer into the car and took smaller containers and plates for serving the kheer. Once everyone was ready, we all got into the car, chanted "Jai Shri Ram," and started our journey to the temple. The temple is about 7 km from our house, located in the Sangam area.

When we reached the temple, we took a small portion of the kheer and offered it as prasad to Lord Hanuman. After the darshan, we returned to the car, took out the large pot of kheer, and placed it on a table.

Its time to distribute the food

Then, we started distributing the kheer. Soon, there was a crowd of people, so I asked everyone to form a line so that everyone could get kheer easily. In just an hour, we had distributed all the kheer. After that, we took a family photo and returned home.

Today will always remain memorable for me because, when I used to work for my NGO, we would always go out once a week to distribute food to people. And the happiness that comes from seeing those in need receive a meal is, to me, the greatest joy in the world.

Dinner with my lovely 🥰 family

On our way back, I stopped the car at a restaurant, and we all had dinner there. Afterward, we returned home and went to bed.

So, that was today’s diary. I hope you liked reading it.
