Greetings to all steemians. Hope you all are doing well. Today, I am participating in an amazing contest hosted in Hindwhale community by an elegant lady @jyoti-thelight. I values this contest because it helps me to sit back and evaluate what I consumed in a particular day. Please follow through as I share my food diary game with you.

MORNING

I woke up late today, my night was stressful due to my second daughter's ill health. She is just One month and one week fractions and she has developed colic which gives her some discomfort and not allowing her to sleep well. We spent sleepless night tending to her by providing necessary first aid treatment. She is fine this morning and we are greatful about that. Since, I woke up late, I decided to prepare something simple and light but nutritious.

I prepared oat meal with biscuit.

Breakfast

My best way of preparing it without wasting time is to scoop the desired quantity into a pot, add sugar and water, put it in a low medium heat and stir consistency for 5 minutes. Check if it is done, brought it down when done and I added milk then served my creamy oat meal with my favourite snack.

AFTERNOON

My lunch was my favourite meals...Rice mixed with Beans and grill fish. This was a beautiful and complete day lunch. Looking at my meal, you can see that it is well balanced and looking nutritious.

Lunch

My local rice with Beans recipe is one of the most simplest, fast, and proteinous meal that will never take your time. It requires few ingredients and steps in preparing. My ingredients for this recipe was Rice, Beans, Fish, Onion, Palm oil, Crayfish, Pepper, Ginger, Garlic, Salt and Seasoning cubes.

Different people has thier different methods of preparing rice. There are many types of rice but for me l cherishes local rice because it doesn't require much spices. You can try this recipe, I believe you will definitely enjoy it.

EVENING

My evening was a calm and cool one so I decided to walk around my varendar and enjoy the cool breeze with my children. Thereafter, I prepared my dinner, it was plantain with vegetable sauce.

From this meal you can see that it is fresh vegetables and boil plantain, I enjoyed this meal because of it nutritious value.

Fresh vegetables are very nourish able to our body. Taking it helps provide antibiotics that helps in boosting our immunity and are all rich in vitamins like A, C and k. Vegetables is high in calcium, folate and potassium.

All pre-diabetic patients are advise for regular consumption of unripe plantain because it is low in sugar and also contains fiber which slow down glucose absorption.

Unripe plantain has flavonoids and antioxidants which helps in the fast reduction of body inflammation.

NIGHT

Later in the evening my husband returned from work with three set of fruit, it was pineapple, watermelon and banana. It was the happiest moment for me and my first daughter because she likes fruit especially banana.

Consumption of different fruits is essential for nursing mothers and children. Research has shown that regular consumption of natural fruits can keep our family far away from hospital.

Dear friend, this is all we consume for the day, I am grateful to Almighty God for providing our daily meals.
